Help with error: FBX skinned mesh import

Whenever I try import a rigged/animated FBX file into DAZStudio, I get an error like the one in the screenshot, and the model is imported very wrong. The scale, rotation, armature, and weights are all lost or misinterpreted.
Is there a way to preserve this information in a way that DAZ can understand?
