I want to attach the objects in the scene with the land mass so that if I rotate it, it wont be left behind.

How can I do that?

On the scene tab, click and drag the one to the parent.

Sometimes this is quirky, then also one can right-click on items in the scene and "change parent", selecting from the pop-up list, which item is to be the parent.

Click on one item, hold down the Shift key and click on the next--do this for each item you want to attach to the land mass. When they are all selected look to the side and you will see a small row of icons. If you click the "G" it will group all of the objects together and allow them to be moved as a group. If you don't want them grouped any longer select that group and click on the "U" in that row of icons.
