New Wings 3D tutorial - "TopMod"-style Model

This isn't a Bryce tutorial per se, but since I rendered the object in Bryce and promised a tutorial, I thought I'd share in the Bryce forums. (Mods, if this isn't the right place to post, please move to the correct location and accept my apologies.)
Here's the object we'll be making in Wings 3D. More TopMod-like models and tutorials to come. Enjoy!

@fencepost: That's a dandy video, though a bit toooooo fast for my taste. But that's me. I will have a go at this if for no other reason than to see how long it takes for the information to get from the gray matter to the fingers. ;-)
On another note, is it just my connection to this site or are others also experiencing a turtle attitude on here. Pages are really slow loading.
Speed is going up and down like the proverbial yoyo, and I have had one bad gateway error today as well. I reset my router once, as I thought it could be my ISP.
Give it a shot, Guss and if it is too fast, I'll go back in and edit the time between each slide and make them longer. On average, I used only about 4.5 seconds per slide and maybe I should bump it up to 10.
Let me know.

Thank you Art! Super, two new commands I didn't know about the alternate extrude or how bend worked. I threw an extra twist in mine. Probably get chance to render something later. My CPU and GPU are kinda tied up at the mo.
Cheers,
David.
Nice work, David! Glad you learned some new tools and can't wait to see a rendered version of your model.

@fencepost: Naw, don't slow the video down on my account, they come equipped with a rewind button. I have two created and will post them when rendered.
@David: That's an interesting look.
Thanks Fencepost for the tutorial, thanks to David I love doodling with Wings.
Decided two pair was better than just a pair.
Very nice Guss
Ah, the beginning of a chain. Nicely done.
Nice work, Guss! Thanks for giving it a spin! :)
Hi David,
For "Bend", I would suggest you start by looking at :- http://www.wings3d.com.br/paulthepuzzles/aabend.html
The Main(start) page for that is:- http://www.wings3d.com.br/paulthepuzzles/aardvarks.html and would highly recommend anyone who wants to learn Wings3D, to look through those examples/Tutorials.

Thanks Steve... it is a shame they are all written tutorials it seems. Me and reading... it will be a long haul to learn anything. Oddly I do like to read, just it takes a lot longer than it does for most people.
Have you looked through the vids on the "Wings 3d channel" on Youtube? http://www.youtube.com/user/wings3dchannel

No, I didn't know that was there. Thanks for the link. I have seen some individual tutorials on there, but I'm very bad at watching them through to the finish since I usually get an idea I want to try before the end.
