What G8F head morph product should I buy?

I've been doing a lot of images with the exact same faces, and even though I can find cheap or free alternate faces for older figures, it's not the same with G3/8 charaters. Having spent quite enough at the moment on this hobby, I'd rather not buy new figures right now. So, I thought I would buy a face morph product for G8F instead.

I found three of them in the shop :

-Face morph kit for genesis 8 female

- Genesis 8 female head morphs

- 200 plus head and face morphs for genesis 8 female

And I'm not sure which one I should buy, nor do I know the differences between these products. Could you advise me?

    &

is what I bought & am happy with

  • Ok, so let's add RareStone's Face Morphs Collection for Genesis 8 Female to the list

Why did you need both? What kind of things was missing in either products? Did you find them easy to use and did you get good results?

    Any other opinion?

I bought the DAZ ine 1st & then RareStone. Didn't know there would be a RareStone when I bought DAZ. Buy Rarestone if you only buy 1 but the two don't completely overlap, RareStone is much more flexible for unique shapes & fine tuning.

  • Genesis 8 female head morphs is Daz's own product for changing the shape of the face. Sometimes characters you buy in the store require you to have this installed, so I'd buy this one first.

You may find that this gives you all the control you want over face shaping, in which case don't buy anything else. If you find you need more control, buy one of the other products. They all do much the same thing, but Rarestone offers the most morphs and is also the cheapest, so that might be the best choice (I only have the Daz product myself).

Don't forget that you can make "new" characters by blending ones you already have - making someone that's 50% Victoria and 50% Stephanie, for example.

Resurrecting this thread. So, I bought DAZ's   https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-8-female-head-morphs and I was pretty happy with it at the beginning, but now I see that I can't do what I want. In particular, I can't change enough the overall shape of the face (as opposed to details). For instance I'm writing this message because I couldn't manage to make an oval face or a round chin. Secondarily, it doesn't allow me to make faces that look older (I know there are specific products for that, but I hoped that I still could make more mature looking faces with the regular head morphs).

So, I'm listing again the three other available products for G8F :

    https://www.daz3d.com/face-morph-kit-for-genesis-8-female

    https://www.daz3d.com/200-plus-head-and-face-morphs-for-genesis-8-female-s

    https://www.daz3d.com/rarestone-s-face-morphs-collection-for-genesis-8-female

Which one in your opinion would give me more freedom with the overal shape of the face, and would any of them be useful to make more mature faces? At first glance purely from the promotional material "200 plus head and face morphs" seems more suitable, but I'd rather have some opinions. Thanks in advance.

I don't know if you found them, but the product you have does include, in the Actor > Head > Face > Real World section the following morphs:

    • Face Heart
    • Face Older HD
    • Face Round
    • Face Square
    • Face Young

Combining some of these may give you the results you seek.

If it's specifically aging faces you're looking to do, you should really consider https://www.daz3d.com/aging-morphs-for-genesis-8-female-s
