I thought I saved the above scene as a DUF file but I can't find it. Here is a similar scene.
This time, Daz Studio/3Delight did not render any of the textures. The white square at the top is the Uber Area light.
Same scene with one uber area light. I'll turn on the other lights for my next render.
This scene needs another light. It is too late for me to do another render.
quick test render of skimpy outfits.
I7 laptop runs hot. Temperatures from left to right are: current, minimum, maximum
playing around with Tarnished and Polished Shaders
another quick render of the polished shaders
Fun with the new desktop. I'll upload a render after I install the 64 bit version of Daz Studio. CPU fan is loud. HW Monitor displays some incorrect information for new AMD processors and chipsets.
Finally discovered why the fans are running fast even though the temperature is low. I hate the pre-configured settings for the fan temperature.
Distant light verses IBL. Since I can't afford the new metal armor in the store, I put dressed Genesis in a bikini. All I did was apply the metal shader to the bikini.
Halfling guard in yellow light. I'll render a closeup later.
The CPU temperature reached 123 degrees F.
This render took 30 minutes on the 6-core computer. Wow. Gobo lighting from Shadow Play DAZ Studio Lights. I'll play around with the gobo lights when I have more time.
Halfing and the dwarf wide shot.
Render time: 25 minutes
The computer runs hot too.
With the AMD processor, that temperature is not 'Actual' temperature. It is based off of an arbitrary number maxing at the Factory Determined Max Temperature (AKA, "thermal margin"). It will not be reading true below a certain value, and even then, it will be off.
Lots of pipes on my processor, and I asked, how can it be reading 40F idling when my room is 70F, lol.
according to the motherboard monitor, the CPU reaches 58 degrees Celcius or 136.4 degrees Fahrenheit.
The last renders of the blue light are not gobo lights. The lights consist of IBL and tube lights. The image below is a gogo light. I'll play around with skin textures and lighting some more.
In case anyone is wondering why I haven't updated my really old renders: I haven't added all of the content libraries to Daz Studio yet. I still need to install Poser 9 and Vue. I'll install everything soon. Ok, time for me to get ready for lunch.
Render of Laura and Victoria 4 in uber environment light. I forgot to edit the skin settings.
Genesis 1 skin textures that hve lipstick and painted nails
Amaterasu
Briallen - her skin texture is available for Victoria 4 too.
Briallen without EHSS and with EHSS. Too bad we can't see their makeup or nailpolish. I'll play with the poses after I install the updated Genesis 2 starter essentials.
Druid Valley
Lumberjack (Genesis 2 male), Anabelle for Genesis 1, Azumi for Genesis 1.
Azumi uses Aiko 5's UV map. I'll fix the lumberjack's pose later. The openGL window is slow. I may put the AMD video card back into the computer.
Observation: A small heatsink and widescreen monitor makes the Nvidia GeForce 630 run hot. The maximum temperature that I have observed is 179 degrees F. I was playing some games.
I'm going to render some images after lunch. I will monitor the temperatures of the video card when I rotate the camera in Daz Studio.
I think I have some clothes by Danie and marforno; I need to look for them.
Sorry for the small size. I messed up my composition. I'm planning to reposition the camera and poses after I find the clothes.
I need more video card memory.
3Delight is stuck rendering transmapped hair on Olympia. I've been waiting for five minutes now. Yes, I am using the 6-core computer.
I had to close and open Daz Studio twice before the scene below would render. Ugg. Maybe I should reboot the Windows 8 computer. I finally have a decent render of the lumberjack and Olympia. I'll try rendering the scene with Druid Valley again because Daz Studio became unresponsive and I had to close it forcefully.
There is too much frost on the camera's lens. lol I should read some of the tips for Ron's brushes that are in the thread http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/22854/
To do: change the background and lighting.
Closeup of Olympia. I used the same props and lighting as the previous scenes. I forgot what light set I used. It has distant lights.
Daz Studio is a creating shadow map. I should change the shadow type to raytraced.
ray-traced IBL lighting with 20 shadow samples and transmapped hair. Oops. I should lower the shadow samples or use Advanced distant lights.
I ended up closing Daz Studio an then re-opening it. I'll play with the scene some more after I eat lunch.
Memory usage ~975 MB
I should look at the error log. Daz Studio 4.6 on Windows 8.1. 64 bit.
Memory usage: 1.44 GB.
