Country House seeks Diamond Window Mullions

I'm investigating textures for a quaint country house and I'd like to quickly do diamond mullions.

I hoped that I could use wires and rotate them 45 deg. But I can't find the place to put in the "translation".
I tried the Curve Filter, but nothing happens.

How can I make diamond mullions? :roll:

btw, I tried 45deg in all combinations and nothing happened.
