Does Carrara do any progress logging?

Per the subject, does Carrara have any logfiles, and/or can logging (levels?) be enabled?

    I suppose it's telling (in a good way) that after this many years, I haven't even *needed* to watch the Carrara internals progress. In contrast, I *always* have a DS logfile watcher running when I'm working in that context... heh.

    maybe we'll get some helpful logging options in C9.

    it gives the lovely time guesstimate while rendering, and it updates the guesstimate
    guesstimate is pretty accurate
