Help, Dynamic Clothing Tab disappeared

I noticed last night that my Dynamic Clothing Tab is gone. It not even in the Windows/Tab list. It's gone! This morning in an at tempt to try something, I tried to re-load my Dynamic Clothing Control plug in that I recently purchased and received the following message:
"Dynamic Clothing Control to Daz Studio 4.5+ (Mac 64-bit) Public Build" required installed path for "Daz Studio 4.x Public Build (64-bit)" be defined. Make sure that a path to this Application is present on the "Applications" page of the Settings Dialog.
Does anyone know what's going on?
Also, curiously I tried to use my Time Machine backup program to re-install an earlier backup of DAZ 3D. Usually this would take care of a problem like this, but for some reason even returning to a date when the Dynamic Clothing Tab was operating correctly did not bring the lost tab back. Is it possible that the Settings Dialog for the DAZ Application is somewhere other than in the Applications folder?
Finally, I assume re-installing DAZ 4.6 would correct the problem???

If you go to the Install Manager preferences (click the gear icon at top-right) and look in the Applications tab, is there an entry for the public build (not beta) of DAZ Studio 4.6 64?
Not sure where the "gear icon" is. The only "gear icon" I found in DAZ is for either hiding Render Settings or Tool Settings. I do not seem to have an Install Manager or IM Icon on my computer. When I purchase content I usually click the green button that automatically brings up the new Install Manager. I did go to the following:
Users/Shared/Daz 3D/Install Manager/Settings...There are two entries there: AppSettings.ini and MainWindowSettings.ini. ????

That's what I thought, but as stated I do not seem to have the IM on my computer. There is not an icon for it nor is it any place else I can find other than the path I noted in my post. USERS/DAZ 3D/INSTALL MANAGER/SETTINGS....But that does not seem to be of any real help.
If I go to my DAZ Account and pull up the IM by clicking the Green Install Button for an old content I can access the IM that way. The gear icon takes me to a window where the fourth choice is APPLICATIONS. it says NAME: DAZ STUDIO 4.5+ (64-BIT) PATH:/APPLICATIONS/DAZ 3D/DAZSTUDIO4 64-BIT
To be honest, I don not know what PUBLIC BUILD means or is. But I cannot find any reference to it (so far).

Public Build refers to the Public Beta. I don't think the Dynamic Clothing Control for the general release version is available in DIM yet.
Thanks, but my problem is that the dynamic clothing TAB has vanished. it was there a few days ago. And I also have used the Dynamic Clothing Control plug in successfully as well up to yesterday. I seem to have done something inadvertently while messing around moving files inside DAZ to cause this problem, but I cannot figure out what I did or how to correct it, other than perhaps re-installing 4.6 which is my last resort.

4.6.0.18 is a production build, the new beta is a new beta. No doubt there will be more betas and probably more production builds until they run out of room for 4.x or have a big enough change to warrant moving to 5.0 - I don't think there's a fixed end point they are working towards (though that may just be that I haven't managed to get hold of the plans).

Sorry, I should have been more clear: Has the final of Dynamic Clothing Control that will work with DAZ 4.6 come out yet? The only DCC I can download is a beta, so I'm told.

The Dynamic Control I downloaded yesterday works fine in D/S4.6.
edit: perhaps I should that it appears it will work fine. Haven't done anything with it yet.
Here's a note for DAZ tech folks. I'm using Mac OS 10.8. I downloaded DCC 1.3.0.18 for Mac 64, uninstalled previous versions, and installed. It still showed only the basic version. It appears that the installer (not DIM) put it in the folder /Users/MrWizard1024/Applications/DAZ 3D/DAZStudio4/plugins. However, there was, in fact, no copy of DAZStudio in that folder. Instead, my copy of DAZStudio is in the root directory's Applications folder, /Applications/DAZ 3D/DAZStudio4/plugins. The installer loads three files, the key ones of which are libdzautoriggercontrol.dylib and libdzoptitexclothcontrol.dylib. So I tried removing the old "basic" versions by copying them elsewhere. Sure enough, the copy was made but the basic versions stayed in the plugins folder. I had to activate my own permissions to modify the root /Applications folder, remove the "basic" versions, and copy in the new versions -- in other words, do a manual install. Now I've got the familiar four tabs I was used to seeing. A simple test on Genesis using the boyfriend sweater processed normally and correctly.
It can be done, but it takes some digging. A revised install script would fix this for most users.

I am seeing this too but with a different plugin...

The installer for "Measure Metrics for DAZ Studio 4.5+ (Win 64-bit) Public Build" requires that the installed path for "DAZ Studio 4.x Public Build (64-bit)" be defined. Make sure that a path for this application is present on the "Applications" page of the "Settings" dialog, then try again.
I have looked in the Installer Manager in Settings and NO that path is not there.
What do I do now?

Thank you for this information. With each DazStudio update some of my plugins would disappear or quit working. For a long time I hadn't been able to get that darn "public" build of dynamic control to install so I gave up and just used the basic. Learning that there were actually two different sets of installation files made me look into the DIM's already installed files. The dynamic clothing control 64bit was listed as installed but it did not work. I uninstalled it using the DIM. The DIM then downloaded BOTH installation files and I installed the correct one (not public). I'm happy to say it now works! Thank you again!
