  • The game looks most impressive!  Can get to play as various hero and villain characters with their different strengths.  Really looking forward to trying it out.

    This is bizarre!

The latest movie is out and yet there is no barrage of new renders?!

    Sincerely,

    Bill

Most people haven't seen it yet.  I don't see it until tonight.  Also, there are a lot of free models for the original movies, but not much for the new ones.  A few, but not much.

Actually, I just meant SW renders in general, not specifically the newest film.  I thought the approaching release date would have revved up fans' imaginations and talent.

Though I will say I DID see it last night.  Normally, I just wait until films reach the TV in some fashion.  Even many of those I'll miss.  I saw "Force Awakens" only when it reached "Starz", and I've yet to see "Rogue One".  But a co-worker was bursting with excitement and ordered tickets a week in advance to ensure he and friends got the first showing in town.  I thought, "Meh, why not?  It'd be more fun with friends," so I gave him the movie for an advance ticket.  Otherwise, I would probably have waited for it to reach TV as well.

A bit of nostalgic irony.  40 years ago I watch the original "Star Wars" (no bloody "Episode IV, A New Hope" business, just "Star Wars") at the same theater in the same showroom!  Of course, back then, it was the only showroom.  To quote Darth Vader out of context, "The circle is now complete!"

    Sincerely,

    Bill

LOL.  That's cool.  I've seen every Star Wars movie the night it comes out.  I was 4 in 1977.  I couldn't tell you what theater I saw Star Wars in that 1st time.

I was working on a Star Wars Render this past weekend, but I wasn't liking it, so I put it away until a better idea hits.  I would really love someone to do a free model of Poe's X-Wing.  I really like that character.  I did do a render awhile back with R2 and BB8. Can't remember if I posted it here or not, but it's in my galleries.

I was 14 at that time, and I have rather clear memories of the event.  SW merchandising had yet to really take off, but I was already a big media SF fan, so I wore my Moore brand Spock shirt.  (I think they were meant as pajama tops.)  My viewing experience was distracted by two girls sitting in the row behind me who would slam their feet against the back of my chair in their excitement.  My uncle drove me to and from the theater.  When I got home, I realized my wallet was missing!  My uncle returned me to the theater and to my amazement, the theater staff allowed me entrance to the showroom (during the next run, mind you) without paying so I could search for it.  Luck was with me as I readily found it.  In my own excitement during the film, my wallet must have "wormed" its way from my pocket and fell behind/under the seat when I left, allowing the seat to fold into its upright position.  Because it was in deep shadow, no one spotted and grabbed it.

    Sincerely,

    Bill

  • Saw Star Wars when it first came out with my wife and first daughter in a theatre in McKinney,Texas

My first daughter was three and was scared of Darth Vader and called him Black Monster she got over it after we bought an inflatable Darth Vader punching bag one of those that's weighted on the bottom and rocks back and fourth when you hit it.

Can't go back to that theatre they bulldozed it down over twenty years ago
