using Carrara native engine as my FLUIDOS animations tend to crash Carrara with Octane

and it takes longer too and looks crappy on the fluids as they appear to have no UV mapping

Carrara engine renders the fluids themselves nicely but

the weird coloured shadows, never got those with Octane

OK not fully raytraced and basic lighting but still very odd

is it also because FLUIDOS has no UV mapping?

Light through the colored liquid? As to the ragged shape, not sure. The shadow buffer ignores transparency and alphas, maybe use a light with a buffer?

it is definitely seeing the transparency of the bottle

the ragged shape is the fluid inside which is indeed that colour but the shadow not appearing transparent inspite of in fact casting a very coloured shadow, it seems to be just the FLUIDOS mesh that has this odd effect

am thinking of doing my old trick of a second light only lighting the fluid with different shadow settings

a light with shadow buffer, last shot, does look better IMO

even though no skylight it seems to soak up the HDRi I use too
