Nice promo renders Slosh. These SPEX can be very flexible indeed, there are literally dozens of combinations you can create with the morphs supplied. Here's a render I did recently with a dial-spun character and conforming SPEX.

I know I already commented on this pic, but I just have to do it again. She looks so sweet. Good job on this, HoF.

Thank-you, Wendy and Spiro. Still waking up here in Florida after staying up until 4:00 a.m. due to excitement about release. Still only slept about 6 restless hours, but I will be my usual perky self soon.

Maybe I'm not doing something right. I just put them on a couple of models and as soon as I put the models in a pose --it looked like the geometry broke. I changed the sliders when I fitted them to a model, but aside from that I hadn't done anything out of sorts other than put them into a pose. Has anyone else experienced this?

It looks like there is some unsupported morph being used in there. Maybe an expression that I missed? Can you tell me which morphs you applied to the faces? Some poses have expressions built in, that might be what happened. It is entirely possible that I missed some expression that is triggered by a pose.

Here's a quick render of one of my favourites. Frameless with a glitter shader

Nice one, wilmap. I can't stop looking at the fabric on that dress, though. One of yours, I presume?

The figure used is Aven for Genesis on the right. Her expressions are the Genesis Expressions and Face aniBlocks expressions in the following combination
    http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-expressions-and-face-aniblocks

    Wink Right .38
    Worry .38

This last one is Genesis standard, I think --but I'm not sure on that.
    Eye Squint Right 1.0

The body pose is Teen Angst

The boy on the left is Young Teens Justin

    Main pose is Teenage Poses
    http://www.daz3d.com/teenage-poses

His Expression from Genesis Expressions/Aniblocks is
    told you so .93
    Unconcious .5

    Mixed with:
    Brow Up .54
    Brow outer Up Right .52
    Eyes side to side .30
    Eyes up and down .30

    I hope this helps.

Ah, okay. This is easy enough to explain. Aven is not supported (yet) for SPEX1, so I would recommend putting SPEX2 on her and adjusting for size, then using the Posing morphs to get the fit you want. Justin, for some reason has glitched on a few people's systems, but not everyone's. We are trying to figure out why so a solution can be made. For now, he will have to use SPEX2 as well. Again, for the majority of people, Justin will not pose a problem.

As for the aniblocks expressions, I didn't even know they existed, so there are not morphs in SPEX1 for those. I feel really bad that both characters you started with can't use the default SPEX. You should have no problems with SPEX2, however.

Edit: Just noticed you said Justin is using the aniblocks, too. Does he work okay for you without those morphs?

Are you planning to add a fit morph for Toon Amy sometime? As-is, my latest dial-spun kid has to use the prop glasses.

She is actually number one on my wishlist. I'm having some issues with my store cart today, since becoming a PA something has messed up in my account and I am not able to get discounts, so I won't be making any purchases until that is straightened out. I may wait until after the beginning of August to post any updates, since I have 2 new characters I want to add and still Amy and Aven to buy. Plus, this will give people a chance to request other morphs as well, if I can get my hands on them. :P

Just thought I'd put up a render showing the lens refraction, as I cant remember seeing one up untill now.
SPEX2 -using morphs. Narrowed, angled and horns lowered. -1 Mag on lenses.

Hey Slosh, not related to your Glasses but any ideas on how to remove the slightly visable lines in the render, is it caused by Uber. No worries if you don't know.

Great product, Keeps me tinkering for hours.

    Ciao.

I suspect the banding is caused by 'self-shadowing' you need to turn down ... gah, I can never remember the name of the parameter! ... a setting on the light(s) (is it shading rate?). It'll be a small number (1, 2, 4, maybe?). Lower it ot 0.5 or even down to 0.2.

Thanks for doing the render with the refraction, none01ohone. I like the overall results you came up with, mixing and matching shaders and styles. As for the lines, I am assuming you mean the darkish shadows on her lower face and shoulders? Looks a bit like shadows from window blinds? That is a shading rate (as Simon suggested) issue and lowering it to .2-ish can help quite a bit. The setting I am specifically referring to is in your Advanced Render Settings. Lowering this is also going to help with some refraction artifacts that could occur where the glass meets the frames, or in windows.

Just playing with the morphs after hiding the upper frame.
    Mag +2 Lens Refraction.

Could only get rid of the fringing/lines in the render by turning off deep shadow in the light setting, as turning down the render setting had little to no effect. Trouble is rendering (software only), in the light setting takes a lot longer.

    Thanks guys anyway.

Ah, yes. That is something I forgot to mention in the readme, and a lot of people don't already know. When using a glass material, it is best to use raytraced shadows, as deep shadow maps tend to create artifacts with transparency. And you are correct, raytraced does take longer. That is the big reason I chose to make the lens material use Environment Mapped reflections instead of raytraced. For those looking for realworld reflections, they can change the method to raytrace, but it is at the cost of longer render times.

Also, I hadn't thought of hiding the upper part of the frames. It looks good, I really like the style you've come up with. :)
