Cheers, Horo...and the drop-falls look totally unreal, of course - more, surreal hehe (they kinda look like some futuristic star maps - I created them myself some years back)blush.

Second image....hhmm perhaps a slight alignment.

Btw, the weird-looking shape south-eastwards  of the scene is meant to be a reflection of an umbrella used  - again confusion, perhaps.

    adbc: thanks.

Jamahoney: Nice idea. Bit voyeuristic tendencies? I like the highly stylised rings. The rain mat does like quite OK to me.

@Jay: Ah, lunch is a great idea and well done, but I never hope to swim myself in such a waters.
Your rain picture is a spicy idea. You should give the picture a name, or did I miss it?

@ Hansmar: The invisible makes a selfie? This alone is absolutely brilliant. Great! I just hope he does not have a smartphone with face recognition to unlock ;-)

@ ed3D: That's a fabulous idea and done well. Keep it up.

Cheers, Drachenlords...forgot about including the title, which I changed just now - called: Stilettos in the rain.

    Thanks, Mermaid.

Jamahoney: Stilettos in the rain is cool and thanks

Henryhor: the story, being that the younger one, is looking
through the window to their older self_

Horo and drachenlord : glad you like the idea and thanks you

    mermaid010: thanks you

Henryhor: Loved the Verlaine poem. Thanks for sharing that.

Yellow Pen and ed3D: Thanks for the comments!

    My second entry:

“Does This Make Me Look Fat?”

Genesis 2 F/M, hair and outfits from DAZ3D.

    Little clock from ShareCG.

Sofa from the Modo content library.

Everything else modeled in Modo, mostly textured with images from CG Textures.

Illuminated by 2 Dome Lights. There is also another short ranged dome light sized to the mirror and between it and the female figure - an attempt to simulate reflective caustics.

Rendered at 16RPP with True Ambience enabled. Took over 12 hours to render (mostly due to having to use 9 Ray Bounces because of all the transparency/reflection involved).

    Thanks for looking!

Dan - good idea, great poses and facial expressions, well done. The horizontal line is a bit unfortunate.

    Cheers, ed3D :)

Hahe, Dan...I bet so many women and men have asked that question throughout the years.

Sigh on the two lines: it would kill me to have spent 12 hours waiting on a wonderful render to finish, and then have such weird artefacts show up. Wonder what caused them: an internal reflection effect; are they the remnants of a vertical flat plain with some refraction going on (they seem to be missing at the left side of the image, so...).

Perhaps, instead of running another 12-hour render, you could easily rub them out in, say, Photoshop that would just take a few minutes.

Dan Whiteside: Very well done. Love the slightly bored look of the friend. Indeed, a pity of the line under her buttocks.

    Dan Whiteside wow awesome entry,

My second entry -  Reflecting on Life - inspired by Horo’s Reflecting the Past. Unfortunately due to the lack of props and after searching for suitable freebies, I ended up with this simple version.

So a quick tidbit incase anyone is wondering. The act of reflecting something is a part of deflection. Where as deflection means anything bonuce off a given surface, reflection refers to the direct return of an object/material to its orginal source from this deflection.

all mirrors deflect light, but the part where you see your image, is considered a "reflection" of light.

So by technicality, if you were to be hit by a blast, or a laser. And it fractured into smaller pieces, a part of it could still be "reflected" back to the orginal source.

I decided to push the boundries a bit. I am not sure if this is considered reflections, but I guess I will leave that up to the voters to decide.
