Hi!

A litte sneak peek of a fully rigged and detailed concert grand piano. It has all the 88 keys, dampers and hammers working together. Hammers are ERC keyed to have a natural swing when a key is pressed. Lids, lid props, keyboard cover, music rack, wheels and wheel brakes work as in a real grand piano. Sustain pedal raises the dampers and Una corda pedal shifts the hammer rail like in reality. Lids and music rack are detachable. Included gas spring piano bench is height adjustable and the adjusting lever moves also. Also included are numerous full and partial playing poses (with corresponding key pattern poses for piano) for Genesis 3 and Genesis 8 males and females. Piano and bench comes in black and white color with an optional transparent piano lid and wheels in gold or iron.

Excellent! I can't wait. You do all this rigging, and we're still begging vendors to make room doors that open.

Your instruments/sets are amazingly well done. Look forward to this release.

  • Thank you so much!

I try to provide the most accurate models, it's a passion. I have very good access for references but the most helpful thing is I don't have deadlines etc. for my stuff so I can fiddle with them as long as needed without making crucial compromises.

  • Wow! That piano really looks awesome. Somehow missed your store and that nice violin altogether. Really nice instruments and realistic poses. Hope you might do a Saxophone or Flute soon. Don't think there are already some in the store.

    Hi!

I’m actually getting a concert flute free from my flutist friend next week to be put in pieces and also an alto sax is on my list next! And my wife plays the trumpet and flügel horn so there we go;)

  • Well, Alto Sax is what I am (very badly!!!) playing. So looking very much forward to a fully rigged sax someday. Can only second what was already stated above. There are lots of environments where the doors do not move and you provide fully rigged instruments - wow! Unless the piano is not completely out of my price range I might get it together with the violin once it becomes available.

it might be not be of much interest to do, but have you thought of possible doing songstones and ocarinas (well, songstone is an ocarina, but the shape is different)? And perhaps also the harmonica? *big smiles*

  • Looking forward to the release! I've already got the violin, and soon I'll be able to try my hand at this.laugh

I don't know if your implementation of surfaces (material zones) will allow it, but I'm hoping to house the keys of the HD Grand Piano (in order to take advantage of their full rigging) in other pianos so I can use it on smaller stages.

    Hi!

It should work. The whole mechanism (or only keys) can be removed (or everything around it:) in geometry tool via face groups. I quickly tried it and here is a rough picture. The rigging can be saved for the keys only.

I'm working on a morph that converts the Grand Piano to a Baby Grand piano. Not sure yet how it will be published, but I'll try to figure out a way. (edit: Most likely a freebie.)

Have you had a chance to work out the Baby Grand morph yet?

Splendid products, every one, and I'm champing at the bit for the Trumpet...

So it is a price I can afford right now?

edit guess that was a morph for something I do not have yet.

Good thing I saw this. The Baby Grand morph would be great as an update for those who don't come to the forums.
