BEFORE POSTING ANY RENDERS PLZ READ THE RULES:
The Rules For This Months Freebie Challenge are:
1. A minimum of (5) Freebies must be included in your image along with Links to the freebies you have used. For an item to be considered free it must be offered as a freebie for the whole month. The exception to this rule is all Daz Weekly Freebies will be allowed throughout the entire month in which they are free as well as the month following their release as a freebie (For a total of 2 months). Also, if a freebie is broken down into multiple downloads/links/parts (IE like if the freebie is broken down into 3 zips etc...)it only counts as 1 freebie, not 3.
2. There will be a Maximum of 5 purchased items.
3. Base figures (All Gen 2,3,4, and Genesis 1,2,3) as well as their general morphs packs (Morphs++ and similar) do not count as a purchased item or a freebie and may be used as needed
4.Postwork is allowed but you MUST include a before and after Postwork versions of your entry in the Entry Thread.
5. All DAZ 3D Programs are allowed (IE Bryce, Carrara, Daz Studio and Hexagon) plus Poser for the contest.

7. You may enter a Maximum of 4 Entries per month.

Edit: second version of the image has minor fixes to the heroine (proper hand pose, poke-through fixes on leotard and helmet,and improved visor material) and a few modifications/additions to the overlaid text.
I think that "Terror Of The Silicates" would probably have been a better title* for the story in question... but that title just has to be a story about alien breast implants ! Edit: The publishers decided that "Planet Of The Silicates" was the best title for the featured story, and requested a different précis of the tale.

Dumb question... It's been a while since I did a freebie challenge and I see the rules have changed, so I want to make sure I'm not breaking any rules. If it's free and I can get it imported into one of the listed programs, is it fair game? For example, if I get a Blender file and export it into an obj, can I use it? Thanks for the clarification!

This took me forever, primarily because I spent a TON of time importing fbx files into Carrara, posing them, and then exporting objs into DS. Also spent a ton of time time creating new geometry groups to apply materials to. The tattoos were rearranged in photoshop to fit over G3F's map, then applied with LIE. The biggest detail changed in postwork was the braid. I just ran out of time to re-map and smooth it. The image used to fix it in postwork is based on the free braid vector diagram referenced below. (Vector .ai files can be opened with acrobat if you change their extension to pdf. From there, an image file can be saved either via export or via screen capture.)

Genesis 3 Female
As a time-saver, my depth of field effect was achieved using a depth map in Photoshop. Original image and the depth map are included below. Depth map rendered in DS using 3Delight and AoA's fog camera. I could have done my DoF in iRay, but my video card is fairly feeble and it was taking forever to render with any level of quality.
Sorry for the multiple edits to this post. I think I finally have all of my links right!
