Primitive clothing

While I see a lot of different clothing available for eras from ancient to modern, they are all somewhat based on a certain level of technological civilization, with limited exceptions. I would like to see more leather in a less-polished form as loincloths and chest coverings that aren't intended to be so 'revealing' on male or female models.

Better, having some way to easily morph the length, width and other factors of the loincloth and chest pieces would be of benefit. After all, not every woman is going to wear exactly the same cut of loincloth or cover their chest with the exact same size and shape of panel. Such panels are also highly unlikely to form-fit themselves to the said person's anatomy.

Welcome to my world. I use kit bashing for most of my stuff. To see some check my Primitives in the Sigline below.

    Did you see this? http://www.daz3d.com/jungle-majesty

It has a number of pieces and skin and fur options so it's very versatile. I've also got a number of simple wraps and loincloths in my Rendo store.

Jungle just hit my cart, and I believe I have some of your others to use at later seasons in the coming year. TY.

Will look at both of these later today. My problem is I have a specific set of costumes in mind but I have no skills with creating either them or the models I need for a specific world (Humans are a time a dozen by comparison).

To paraphrase: "I'm a writer, Jim; not a sculptor."

Here's a tunic/dress for primitive people. For V4/M4 & V3/M3; but should auto fit to Genesis; link for textures are at the bottom of the blog entry.

Don't know if these are of any use to you. They are not textured but you can add textures to them using fabricator or your own in the surfaces tab.

I'm going to say that your halter top comes closest to what I'm looking for, though I am hoping for a suede texture that I can color as I need. This is a definite possibility for at least one part of the costume. the bottom part--g-string/loincloth I want made with the same base texture but unfortunately will probably be a custom build.

The only thing different really that I could ask for on the halter is that the back strap be thinner and lower, to accommodate w winged character (or several). This one:

In some ways close, but doesn't match the halter top of the other. If I had the skills to make my own I would, but since I can't, I'm asking for help here across the board.

The model of the vixen above was a modified Victoria. I need a similar model to work with (the artist never did send her to me, only the render) and I have need of a completely different model as well who would wear more Native American traditional clothing. I need males and females and wear that can be fairly easily modified for each wearer while still maintaining a certain general look.

Again, I like the halter above and can use it as is, but the loincloth needs to match. And again, I can work in dialogue with anyone to make a matched set.

For character models I am willing to pay. No model currently available looks realistic enough for my purposes.

Regarding the loincloth, did you see SickleYield's free cloth top and that matching loincloth? They're really good and might be exactly what you are looking for. And as for the character, do I understand right you're searching for a fox-headed figure morph?

I'm not sure I've seen that, Cecilia; I'll try to look it up.

Yes, I do want a fox-headed figure morph, but I also want the digitigrade legs. Of the currently available Anthro models, the legs aren't necessarily bad, but the Dog World models are totally unacceptable and the Lycan series grossly exaggerates the body types for the 'horror-flick' look. I'm hoping that halter you mention is low-backed enough for me to attach some wings.

I'm also working on a cougar-based race with vaguely similar characteristics, though they don't carry wings, but rather a set of bony-looking arms attached at the same location; likely a near-full-custom model, especially since I need males as well as females.

The top is in his free section: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/index.php?user_id=530466. The loincloth can be found in his store at Rendo. And regarding the paws, Anubis has quite decent ones. Maybe it wouldn't be too difficult to make the character based on that figure?

PS In case of "primitive" renders, this may be useful: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/details.php?item_id=59064.
