Can decimator keep the model in polys or does it convert to tris every time?

I was wondering if it is possible to keep the model in quads when using decimator? This will be a deciding factor in whether i purchase it or not.

It works with triangles as do most modeling tools. Easy to convert back to quads though.
can you do that using decimator or would it have to be done outside of decimator?
Outside DAZ, (EDIT>FIGURE>GEOMETRY>Trangulate is one way in DAZ). Use the handy and free 3d tool Meshlab to convert Tris to Quad. http://meshlab.sourceforge.net/ In Meshlab, Filter>Remesh>Quad to Tri
Most apps handle tris fine, as they convert to quad on import/load if needed. Its usually the otherway around, game engines and simpler 3d systems cant handle Quads, NGONS and such. Of course nicely laid out quads look so pretty. This is usually hand stitched by retopologizing the modeled base mesh.
