My first renders with Daz Studio 4.5

A long time ago I did some 3D with Poser, but I never did anything useful (PC was also very slow back then).
After a pause of a couple of years, I'm going to try again, but with DS. I've read a lot about the importance of lights, shaders, camera placement,... so I hope I will make my fantasies become reality now.
Here are some of my first renders, mainly playing arround with UE2, shaders and lights.
Comments to improve are always welcome!
Peter.
PS : the 2 girl portraits have effects from PSPro.

Nice variety. I enjoyed looking at them. Nice DOF in the dragon in the hand. What was your technique for the statue on the stand? It had an authentic look to it.
Thanks!
I think I just tweaked the 'Real Metals' shader on that one : http://www.daz3d.com/real-metals-for-daz-studio
The silver one seems to have nice reflections with UE2.
Peter.
My first try with Reality, 3Dlight was a bit too 'shiny' for this.
About 15 mins. rendering, GPU only, about 5000 render passes (HD7970)
Lurking in thread. Really happy I am. Very good work.
Here are some new images I made the last few weeks :
1. Red Portrait
2. Noire Portrait
3. Great Art (with an actual painting from my girlfriend!)
Peter.
I really like your work, the last one Great Art is very interesting ;-)
Thanks!
Here's a quick test of the supersuit :
'Guardians'
*Removed* because I will enter the contest thread! ;)
Peter.
You are doing interesting work. Keep going.
Thanks for all the nice comments! :)
Peter.
I think I can post these now (entries for the PC May contest) :
1. Ambush
2. Spider Attack (nr. 2 in the contest!)
Peter.
Not sure what the PC rules are but I know I see the renders in multi threads the same day. I think the FIRST post has to be to PC then your fine. They check Time stamps I think.
Thanks for the info!
Peter.
Here's my entry I placed in the May beginners contest!
'Scary Story'
To counteract my 'Clowns/weird people' thread http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/26927/ , here are some pretty portraits :
'Outlander'
'Attitude'
Really nice portraits. I always enjoy your posted images.
