The whole world is missing dynamics!
Ok maybe not the whole world. But I am missing it, it big time!
Alright, I may be rattling the cage loudly so please for give me. I'm just trying to get some action happening.
Daz Studio is behind the times with dynamic clothing. Most of the stuff being sold in the store is for V4 and is dated. A few things have being converted to other Genesis versions, but very little.
Sure I can covert these other things to fit other versions. Buy plug-ins to fit plug ins and so forth, but that is not the point. No one is creating content of any sort or quality. Not even the company that created the dynamic cloth plug-in is doing anything.
I'm not interested in creating my own right now. My fun at this point in time comes from creating 3D art images. So I buy my paints (3d content) from the stores to create with. And I like having a large varied paint box to work with. And one of my favorite tools is the realism of dynamic clothing. And I have too add, "It is a very easy tool to work with and learn." I don't understand why it is not being asked for, with (greater demand)? There seems to be a market for it in all other areas of the 3D world. I know it is used in all areas of the film world and game worlds. It is also used in special effects and not just clothing.
So how about somebody do us all great big favor and create something "Dynamic!" A new plug-in with all the trimmings and add-ons.
Please and thank you, I would really appreciate it.

I assume you are familiar with virtual world dynamics plugin at Rendo and the other more simplified one. Between them and default, I use dynamics in nearly every scene I create, so it's very possible, but I agree a more robust default option would be nice.
Yup! That is what I am talking about. Not just dynamic clothing, but the whole kit and kaboodle, a new built-in dynamic plug-in with all the bells and whistles. Up to date and with all the latest tech. If it is really good, I would be happy to pay good money for it. With in reason of course $50 - $150
And of course make it easy for content creaters to own it too, so they can afford to buy it and also make a profit.
But in the meantime I will be happy to settle with some "creative" dynamic clothing.
I loved using Dynamics with Poser. I wish Daz had more Dynamic options. Daz autofit is great and that is why I use DS, but I really wish DS would get more Dynamic items.
I would love to see universal dynamic clothing possibilities (ie not limited to specifically designed dynamic clothing like the Optitex system DAZ currently uses) available in DAZ Studio. I would also like to see "Physics" being available in DS; so gravity, multi object collision and deformation, fluids and particles etc. I accept that these features would most likely be as optional plugins to be bought at the Store, but then at least they would work seamlessly within the DS program environment.
Maybe we have to wait for DAZ5.0 before this is possible... I hope this happens before I die of old age!
Start praying to the Daz Gods
Agred on the physics. I was playing around with V4 with a game engine and ragdoll physics awhile back and it was really cool to see the body fall as it should based on the gravity and skeleton in game. Would make for more realistic posing for still renders.
Dynamic anything would be good! I've spent the past several months playing with all options, and any of them take some time and effort, though they're worth it. Anything that makes that easier and more stable would be much appreciated!
I wish that guy that was previewing Unity-based dynamics would come back.
Yep.
I hope DAZ3d is reading this... Do I hear anything? Alas, the heavens are as brass!
My dynamic clothing has not worked in a year. It crashes DAZ every time I attempt to drape something so I just gave up on it. If more stuff showed up I might invest the time to try to fix it. I liked it when it used to work.
There's a very nice little program on the other store : VWD : Virtual World Dynamics, you also need to buy the bridge to interface it with Daz Studio.
Not very ergonomic but really powerful, some patience is needed and a lot of funny experiments happens.
Works with any type of clothes and also Hairs.
You should have a look at it
