but frankly since the shoes dont suffer poke-trough during ankle bending, i think i may skip the rather complicated work to turn them into figures
so i could spend the time on making the leather thicker, making the shoes texturizable ( a good UV map ) and adjustable heel height
also i didnt mention it but there will be an open-toe (peep toe ) version, and versions for TheGirl2 and maybe Aiko5
this animation was made with the great help of mcjAutoLimb, mcjKeepOrient and mcjMakeTarget
https://sites.google.com/site/mcasualsdazscripts/mcjautolimb
https://sites.google.com/site/mcasualsdazscripts/mcjkeeporient
https://sites.google.com/site/mcasualsdazscripts/mcjmaketarget
incidentally i noticed mcjautolimb is not Aiko5-compatible (probably other Genesis figures too) and i should fix this soon
With Aiko5 do you mean genesis and its morphs too? Nice Work BTW :)
Props should work fine for this sort of shoe - and also allow variations such as taking one off, dangling from A3's toes, and such.
Thanks!
Now the bad news - the file seems to have no geometry in it. :(
Edit to add: the PP2 file is looking for :Runtime:Geometries:mcasual:mcjA3PumpsBeta_L.obj (or _R), but the zip contains only Runtime/libraries/Props/mcasual.
What I meant is regarding fitting as figures. Not props.
Yeah, what English Bob said. :-) Too many times I want to play with the footwear like that and can't.
Looks good, as always.
Well... It seems that there are no geometries in the package.
thanks!
Aiko5 is a morphed Genesis yes, so there would be a version of the shoes that fit her default shape and size
if i keep it as a prop i don't know if there's an easy way to make it fit the other Genesis figures since the prop is modeled over a tip-toeing pose
oops i'll check this pronto

the new prop package contains the geometry this time , sorry for any inconvenience !!
direct link to the zip file ( on my google site
Also note : an update will be posted soon, which includes a usable UV map and some leak fixes
goes to show i have to test my packages :)
the updated package includes the geometry

well i only did this mistake one or 2 times maybe 3 or 4 :)
the updated package includes the geometry

Thanks for getting on this so fast, and even offering a direct link. I use the Gen3 figures almost exclusively, and A3 is my go-to gal.
Do you care if appreciation renders show up in your thread?
renders are welcome :)
the UV map for version 2 is almost ready, but i'll fix the little visible seams ( thought i could get away with this )
good news the UV map for mcjA3Pumps Beta version 2 looks better than expected
i'll post it on my site in a few minutes
-----
the fact that the chessboard texture still looks like a chessboard ... that's a good sign
also i fixed some ''leaks'' in the geometry
later on we'll see if we can make studs using a displacement map
incidentally this photo shows a studded Bianca 140mm shoe by C.Louboutin
displacement map test, bricks

mcjA3Pumps Beta Version 2 -- with a very Texture-friendly UV Map
direct link to the zip file
also includes mesh improvements like -- inner soles, better heel tip, less 'leaks'
if you subdivide it, remember to set the "Edges and corners" option in the Subdivision section of the parameters tab
( i need to set aside one Saturday to learn/study hand posing )
Thank you again Casual
Just saying thanks for all the wonderful Aiko3 stuffs you make. It seems she is really enjoying these new shoes....
welcome! the next version will have an improved heel including the ability to tweak the breast of the heel, smaller "top piece" a rounder "topline", the outsole will be rounder instead of so-flat

-- new pose / morph kit --
this improves poser compatibility and is fast
1 - morph injector mcjA3FitStilettos2.pz2
2 - morph injector mcjA3ToePush.pz2
3 - pose mcjA3PoseForMcjA3PumpsBeta.pz2
Thank you.
Actually a noob question: where should I put the pz2s? I tried to apply them but they do not do anything... :(

the zip package containing the 2 morph injectors and 1 pose should be unzipped into a daz studio content folder
on my PC that's
- C:\Users\MYUSERNAME\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library
or
- C:\Program Files (x86)\DAZ\Studio\content
once unzipped the poses can be found in Daz Studio's content tab under
Poser Format / Studio / Pose / mcasual
or
Poser Format / My Library / Pose / mcasual
you must select Aiko3 before applying the 3 poses
the 2 morph injections don't do anything visible, one has to, for example, select Aiko3's left toes, and look in the parameters tab for a brand new channel named "pushToes" and turn its strength up to 100% - then the big toe of the left foot will move inward
in the case of the fitStilettos morph, it's the feet and shin nodes that gain a new channel which needs to be pumped up to 100%
but but the new pose i added yesterday will do this work for you
so you apply the pustToe morph, apply the fitStilettos morph, and apply the Pose named mcjA3PoseForMcjA3PumpsBeta
and everything should fall in place
------
then you want to parent each shoe to the respective foot
----------
none of this will work if the figure is not Aiko3 ( the genesis-Aiko3 wont work either )
----------
another way to apply a pz2 pose is to do : File / Import / Poser file ...

Ah yeah... I forgot to look in the parameters -.-. Aiko is a Gen3 figure. Too much used to genesis :P
