Lernaean Hydra [Commercial]
The Lernaean Hydra was created to slay Heracles (Hercules) and is ready to fight heroes in your fantasy renders. The seven headed beast includes a large assortment of poses and presets allowing you to quickly assemble and pose it. Add in a few severed heads and damage presets to other heads to add realism to your battle scenes. You can also choose between Green, Brown, and Albino skin colors. The Hydra is also made of many different UV maps to bring the most detail and definition to your renders.

Hello, this looks AWESOME!
That does look pretty stunning! One question, are there severed heads to go with the necks?
I apologize but I'm confused on what you're exactly asking. Each neck/head can be switched out with a normal head or severed. You could have all severed heads if you want or none. There is also a wounded head material.
Hello back, glad you like!
I especially like how the lower jaw partially splits horizontally.
Very impressive.
looks awesome but I am sadly pretty certain it will never work in Carrara which I use or iClone, still awesome job
I think he was asking if there was an actual head that is severed from the body (to have it lying on the ground or flying through the air when it gets cut off lol).
This is fantastic and is going on the must have immediately short list lol.
Wicked!
Sorry to be confusing - I csn see the neck(s) having being severed, but no sign of the actual severed head(s) lying about
Yes, exactly!
This is not included but I can certainly submit one for a product update in the near future.
Oh. My. Gawd.
My CC just caught fire.
All I need is Herc, Iolaus and a torch ;)
Laurie
Submit one hurry!
And..um....you've got to be kidding me.
IN....sane...
That would be even more amazing lol.
That would make it even more of an instant sale!
frigging awesome and next level
My goal will be to get it submitted this week. I don't know how long it will take for the product to be updated but it will happen.
Picked this up as soon as I saw it was part of today's new releases. I also finally got to pick up the Carnataurus that I've been eyeing since it came out so its been a good day today lol. I'm thrilled that you are adding the head, although I would have picked this up anyway.
When I saw this in the store this morning, I could hardly believe my eyes. When you look at what we hydra lovers have had to get by with, this is like going from Mother Goose songs to Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Bravissimo! Now if only you were perverted enough to make new skin and hd morphs for Reptilian 6. Or better yet, build a new one based on Genesis 8 Male. Thanks for the instantaneous accession to customer requests also.
well it does work in Carrara
mouth morphs etc do not appear as with many things but I should be able to fix that saving extra poses from DAZ studio, all the bones work and I can manually pose them and load the preset poses.
video
getting it into iClone was not easy as a rather large FBX export
Sounds interesting and fun. If anything I would certainly just build a new one based on Gen 8.
Two more hopefully coming out next month. One is going through PASS right now and the other will be right behind it. I might be making a third before moving onto another creature/alien. I want to do at least one thing for Halloween...
Yes the Hydra is a large file do to all those heads. Video is pretty cool to see it live action animated.
One I did...
Love your Hydra man, a fantastic piece of sculpting! I'm getting this bad boy as soon as my salary is in.
One thought I had was that it would be really cool (and hopefully not that difficult ?) to have an expansion pack with horns, spines, and fins for around the head and maybe some down the back (not a joined together fin, as I guess that would require all kinds of rigging) I was thinking more like a handfull of smart props. It would be great to be able to customise each head individually. The other addition that would look really cool would be a JP style Dilophosaurus frill maybe a folded, and expanded version. Oh, and some more awesome skin patterns too.
Anyway just some thoughts I had buzzing around! :) Keep creating these fantastic beasts, and I look forward to your upcoming dinos too!.
still thinking about the scene so just a test here to see if my idea would work with your hydra
Really nice model, man. I love the details.
Hopefully there will be more creatures from your craft. Will be glad to see and buy something similar to McFarlane berserker clan dragons or lyndwurm creature.
Dont mind me, Daz Dragon 3 is good yet diversity will not hurt.
Anyway, good job!
oh I like that beserker
Arch Mage Serena's new pet. The most dangerous arch mage in the known multiverse now has an appropriately fearsome pet.
Cheers,
Alex.
Hi
I'm looking to do a similar style scene, still completely new to daz, i have this model but wanting to know how i make it more like a serpent? how can i edit the body so it only has one head? and alos how do you put other models in the mouth? like the one pictured?
Thanks
