how large is that download?

This must be the first time since the big website change that I have actually had something to download. I was surprised to find that there was no longer anything to tell me the size of the files available for downloading. I can download large files at work within reason and small files at home with dial-up.

It would be nice to know which was which and specifically how big or small. I looked around the various account tools but didn't find anything that I needed to turn on.

Do other people like to know this stuff or is it just me?

    It's not only you LOL
Even while downloading somthing only "?" is displayed for the size. Seems that the dl server does not report the file size to the client.
    It's a mess :-S

Thanks for the replies. Glad I'm not alone and that it is a flagged issue.

It actually does, here's the header data, as the .NET libraries gets them:

    Content-Length: 6297534
    Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=1809.zip
    Vary: Accept-Encoding
    Content-Type: application/zip

Why some clients don't get them I don't know...
