The Starship Fonts are done. I am going to upload them to F3D soon so hopefully they be available later today.

    EDIT:

The Star Ship Fonts have been uploaded to F3D. Hopefully they will be available in a few hours.

The Eagle Class from Trekmeshes has been converted and uploaded there. Hopefully it will be available soon.

    Great!

Okay, here's what I've come up with for Movie-era computer units. The monitors and wall detailing are inspired by the dilthium chamber in WOK. I improvised the rest. Now I just have to design the room they go in.

Nice! It looks like the interface panels move in and out?

Looks good. Know what would really top it off? A holographic projection of the station and any ships coming and going . The projection would be right on the top of the station- something they could glance up at and double check.

I've been trying to think of something to go there. did TOS technology support holograms? Maybe I can do something looks like a primitive version of a holotank display.

It was implied. The show had all kinds of projections that could have been holograms. Use the same line I use for Nova Trek; What would they have done if they'd had the budget? Just use something that could be a projector and position your models above it.

Anyone know where I can find a TMP corridor? There's one at F3D, but it's in 3dMax.

Im not sure what to tell you. It is not happening to me in Poser 8. Perhaps someone else with P9 or PP2012 can helo shed some light on this.

I went back and took out the non-cannon font. Now everything's coming out NG.

here's my WIP of the station.

The saucer section, dorsal hulls and cargo containers are all at normal scale. I figured cargo transport containers would be easy to modify for short term cargo storage, maintenance bays for small craft and equipment storage (worker bees, tools, spare parts. etc.)

I still need to work on docking pylons for large craft.

Okay. I thought you were going to use a Fran Joesph Starbase or one of the Vanguard models. I guess this can work. I've designs that look like they were built primarily with the galaxy-class saucer section so why not?

I had a simular problem with Poser 8. The tech people were never able to give me an answer. I had to go back to Poser 7 and use it till P9 came out- and it's still not right. Now when I parent one object to another, I;m like you. I have to chase it down and bring it back- but only a short distance.

A replacement USS Defiant has been uploaded to Foundation3D. It is a much heavier and more detailed mesh then the one it replaced but personally is well worth it. The previous one was not the best imho. This new one is really nice! :)

    EDIT:
On a side note, I found out why the props made with the PP2 exporter in DS always rotate around the very center of the scene in Poser. Unfortunately I dont know anything about scripting in DS or at all for that matter so I dont know how to fix it.

Okay, The movie-era computer core is done. NOw I'm working on a few corridor sections to go outside the door.

The new USS Defiant is available - http://www.foundation3d.com/index.php?categoryid=38&p13_sectionid=307&p13_fileid=1935

Unlike the model it replaced, it renders much better in Poser. It is also scaled to 170m which is what the DS9 Tech manual lists it as.

In case anyone's intrested, The first section of my TMP corridor's assembled. Nothing's exported yet. I want to get the final textures set first. Right now, I'm planning 5 different sections.

I used Mr.Scott's Guide to the Enterprise- it was the only structural reference I could find- showing scale and all that. The only thing in this that's not in the book are the ceiling lights. It didn't make sense to me to have the only lights in the corridor down at your feet.

AFAIK there were ceiling lights. Don't have a picture handy ATM but have been noticing things like more now for some reason ;-)

And yes I'm interested thank you.

    .......................

I've been working on some TOS items but nothing everybody probably doesn't already have a million copies of lol ...

In looking for a non-existent bridge plan; found a HUGE collection of ST pics for all kinds of props ... thousands of pages with dozens per ... so I may be busy for awhile. Pics are for any and all the shows and movies. As I'm combing through the pages; before is better than after if there's any particular item(s) people are looking for. No promises and no deadlines ... too hectic 'round here. And they're knocking down buildings and stuff like that - power tends to fluctuate when pole is hit.

And just before this website was taken down for 'maintenance'; since sharecg was having severe speed problems [downloading at an awesome 17kbs] ... I've uploaded another morph for Genesis over at my Mediafire acct.

    http://www.mediafire.com/?8hmo6f74kmo3via

For days like this, I post the links over at my Bravenet acct also. New page: http://shaunahtyo.bravesites.com/downloads

All kinds of neat aliens on DS9!

There is no such thing as too much TOS stuff. I have semi-converted a number of Dave Metlesits' ships and kit-bashed a few. The other thing I have been working on are TOS bridges - so far, that has been an unmitigated failure.

Have you seen these bridge plans?

Thank you. Yes I have .... think I've found everyone except 'the one' Paramount is guarding i gather. It's going to take me awhile for the 'first bridge' [TOS]. I get so far with any large project and then Hexagon normally has a seizure so I'm taking this one slowly ... and will probably end up making it in pieces so it's going to take awhile.

    Started a thread over here:

With very few exceptions- the straight support structure, the air duct and conduits and the red alert lights- everything was built in sketchup- which might explain the unexpected texturing since I was working with solid colors. Thing is, the more I look at this, the more I like this "Happy accident". So I think I'll leave it for Nova Trek and if enough folks are intrested to justify releasing the final package, they can map and retexture for their projects.
