Urban Future Modular City

I've already taken apart the roads and made straight and T sections from Urban Future 4 and I was trying to fit all the future style buildings togetehr to try to build a city for an on-going story. Well Most of what I had been using was re-arranged parts of Urban Future 3 but I was getting too confused on my groups and instances so I started over by taking each section and spreading them out into a scene.

I then started creating instances of the pieces I needed to fit together to start piecing together a large city-scape and it hit me, "Wouldn't it be really cool if Stonemason had already put together modules of wall sections and those awesome roof edges with the blue lights on them that we could just snap together as we see fit and make our own Urban Future set?"

  • Yup, and even more handy would be low-triangles forced-perspactive versions of citystape modules to stick in the background of large scenes.

I'm having a real hard time trying to get just the corner piece off the lighted rooftop edge from UF3. I should be able to find a straight edge to cut out and instance though. With the corner piece, many of the polys are a single piece going the whole length of the roof ledge and when I try to Quad tesselate them in Hexagon, some of them are split into diamond shapes instead of rectangles so I'm having a hard time getting clean, straight lines :(

I'm hoping the wall sections from UF3 will be easy to cut down to a "standard" size that makes them fit together easier.
