Easy Teeth for Genesis 8 Female(s) and Merchant Resource in Vendor, SF-Design,  3D Models by Daz 3D

The teeth of humans never look exactly the same. Unique characters have different teeth.

Give your Genesis 8 Female based characters some more individuality with adjusting the shape and look of their teeth.

This morph pack contains 139 morphs to adjust the shape and position of the teeth. You can adjust each tooth individually. Make them wider/smaller, longer/shorter, adjust the depth or make the tooth or several/all teeth completely gone to get a gap. Great for elderly women, younger kids with tooth gaps or any other situation where a missing tooth or teeth is needed. You can also move and rotate the upper incisors, lateral incisors and canines.

Included are also morphs for all teeth, like one to get childish milk teeth. Children's teeth do not look like adult ones, so this is very handy for younger characters. Morphs to make the teeth irregular are included beside morphs to make the lower and upper canines sharp (nice for vampires or other fantasy creatures) as well.

Rounded up is this product by the included 10 material presets for Iray. Unclean and yellowed teeth, different teeth tones like slightly stained or bleached white teeth, bloody teeth and one preset with gold teeth. There are also 7 shape presets included that utilize the morphs. You can of course save all your teeth adjustments as your own shape presets as well to be able to quickly apply your favorite settings later.

Overall a very versatile product to make your characters more unique.

This product is also a Merchant Resource you can use to create morphs for your character products. Please refer to the ReadMe how this resource may be used.

    I had some writing me about some confusion about the backward compatibility of Genesis 8 Female and if the G3 version works with G8. 

    The morphs for the Genesis 3 Female version DO NOT work correctly with the Genesis 8 Female figure. All morphs for this G8 Female version had to created new for G8. 
    The morphs are not "converted" or something from G3, they all have been made from scratch using the Genesis 8 Figure. 

    Materials from G3 will work with G8 however. I think that was meant by Daz when saying backward compatibility. G3 Materials, clothing, hair etc. will/should work with G8 but not morphs. This is how I understand it and experienced. Daz also released a new version of "Head and Body Morphs for G8F".

    This "backward compatibility" caused/causes some confusion I guess and it was not clear what it means excatly, including myself.

    Is there really any actual reason this pack (which I just bought for G3) isn't compatible with V8? I'm happy to support DAZ and content makers, but it's hard not to feel like we're being gouged.

    Because the base mesh of G4F is not exactly the same as G3F. I don't know how much different they are, but I suppose if you wanted to try to make them work the way folks do with other body morphs that might work.

    yap , that is the reason I think too. I did not compare meshes 1:1 but when you put them both over the other you can clearly see that they are different. The vertex count is also different. G3F has something over 17000 and G8F something about 16500. 
    I tried the G3F morphs (not only mine but others) with G8F and they do not work the same or have strange results. 
    With poses you can use a pose converter to adjust the bending etc. But morphs change the mesh, I do not think that there is a way to script a "morph converter", at least I would know how to. If I did I would for sure do :)

    There might be away to "convert" or whatever all morphs from G3F to G8F but I just wanted to have a clean solution without strange things happening, so I decided to create all the morphs again for G8F using the G8F mesh. It is the same with the Daz Head and Body Morphs. The new ones are especially made for G8F. And the G3F ones are made for G3F. 

    It would be cool however if all morphs from Generation XXX would work with all other Generations too. Actually it is true and no secret that vendors benefit from new generations too by selling add ons and morphs etc. But I am also a usual customer as well and DO have to buy all the morphs I need too, like Body and Head Morphs and morphs from other vendors. 

    And I think, that the meshes do change from generation to generation "old" morphs just cannot work like with the generation they were originally made for. 

    What I think is good that the materials from G3F work with G8F without any converters or needed add ons.

    I understand your point here. You just bought something for G3F and then 2 weeks later G8F is released and you might have to buy again if you want to have the same features. 
    Actually when I created the G3F morphs I did not know anything about G8F as well. When they were released I knew about G8F but not the actual release date. 
    The timing was indeed a bit unlucky and I am was late with the pack for G3F but I did not expect the new generation to be released so soon and the idea for the Teeth morphs was actually born very late.

    862 Polys, if you leave out the eyelash mesh; 398 if you include them, since they will load into zBrush (or whatever modeling program you use) if parented to the new model.

    Agreed, to everything here. Even if they would work, it's often better to make morphs specifically for a mesh base so that there aren't issues with how they fit; not everyone has the skill to make the minute adjustments needed to properly align everything for perfection.

    I think what many confused was the "Backward Compatibility" thing for G8F and they prolly thought that everything is compatible backwards.

    As an addition to this thread, I want say that it exists somewhere a free tutorial to make transferring morphs from G3F to G8F, the url is here:

    However, it no exists any tutorials to transfer back morphs from G8F to G3F, sadly..

    The fact is if you have many many many morphs purchased for G3F, you'll be glad to know how using them on your favourite G8F :)
    And it's do-able by reading, applying and load the script from the ZIP I provided (which you can also find in the page I gave !) :)

    NOTE: it will work also for G3M to G8M ! :)

    EDIT: thanks to you PA to constructed a such teeth package, I'm tired to using normal teeth on teen characters (I'm not speeking about childish teeth (which will be useful to some and is a great addition!)), but just... perfect teeth is just "meh".

    Thanks for the links. This is for sure very useful:)

    But AFAIK according to license terms for most MRs this is only something that someone may use for private use and not for packing up a new product like a character or morphs pack or freebie or give the resulting morphs away in any way, except the original morphs you converted are your own.  This is the same with baking morphs or combining morphs where it is not allowed in the license terms tp use with different generations , also for MRs where the usage is restriced to the specific figure like G3F, which is mostly the case. 
    Freebies are not allowed in most cases anyway. Never bought a MR where the freebie creation was allowed with and I also do not sell any MR where freebie creation is permitted. 
    For non MR products  it is clear anyway. But I guess that most people just want to be able to convert something for the private work in DS, and then this script comes in very handy. 

    I am using MRs myself too for character creation and always have to check carefully if the usage is limited to the generation they are made for or if I was allowed to use them for anything.
    If not stated clearly I usually ask the vendor for written permission. 

    Just wanted to mention that because this still causes confusion for many who buy MRs and did not read the the terms carefully and to avoid later copyright problems probably. 

    I am usually not that restrictive for my MRs when it comes to the use with different generations, as you can read the MR terms for the G3M version here:

    And thanks for your comment, I know what you mean, this was exactly the main reason why I created that pack, for teen or younger or elderly characters which do not have the perfect teeth a 25 year old has probably :)

    Btw, the G8M version is in the works now, I hope that still some will buy it although they could convert the G3 version to G8 with that tool now , but I will include some different morphs which cannot be found in the G3 version :)

    Think I did not want to be that restrictive :)

    So in this case and for that MR it would be indeed allowed to even convert the morphs and use them for a product for G8M since I allowed that you can basically do what you want with the morphs. 
    Only restrictions are: freebies, another MR and a similar product like a teeth morph pack

  • Yeah MR's restrictions are sometimes very bad explained, it will be a bit more helpful if MR's creators would be more clear from the very start!
    I, myself, not use MR's for creating freebies, I... really don't trust MR's resource aswell like it is..

    As for exemple, freebies of ShareCG, I avoid MR.
    As for example, freebies of Renderosity, I avoid MR.
    As for example, freebies of DAZ3D, I avoid MR.
    and..
    As for example, freebies of DeviantART, I avoid aswell MR.

    If I have not choice to use MR (mainly because a product I want is the only one that exists but still have MR agreement inside..), I move it to a special Windows folder I have created named "WARNING - Merchant Resource product!" and labelled its icon with a "WARNING" icon ^_^

    For your MR's explanations of the license, I think, it would be so useful to include a readme.txt (or .pdf) file named as: "How using this product as Merchant Resource.pdf".

    (if you already joined a file like this in your package then sorry I don't yet downloaded your package, It actually sit in my library, I need some setup to use it (preparation, you know :)).

    In all finishing phrase, I want add that MR would be noticed DIRECTLY and CLEARLY not necessarely to have to go to README's pages on the original site where purchase was made!
    I mean then, most issues with MR is often due to its author that didn't take the time to formalizing clearly what it states for !

  • Yeah, I do a similar thing with marking MRs and having them in a special folder including text files with the usage terms. 

    This is good suggestion to include a PDF or ReadMe about the MR directly to the product. I havent done that yet, the info is only on the Readme on the page on the Daz Doc Site. 
    But they do not link the Readmes directly anymore from the product page and it is sometimes hard for people to find it. 
    Maybe best thing would also to include the main terms on the product itself, so that everyone knows how the MR can be used and how not. I will do both for the next MRs I am creating, if Daz QAV is fine with including it on the product page too. 

    Hehe yeah, I bought some stuff while it was quite well discounted :) But havent checked yet. It is always the same, I am buying more than I can use lol :D
