exporting Gen4 figures from DS3 to Blender2.65 explosive geometries question

I'm noticing when I export a gen 4 figure as an obj file out of DS3.1.2.32x64 Win7x64 and import the obj into Blender 2.65 I get these bits of geometries that have exploded everywhere. The figures for the most part are mostly intact, but it looks like shrapnel around the model.
Does anyone know what causes it?

Sounds like not maintaining vertex order in Blender import parameters. In Blender click on "Keep Vert Order" (so it is blue) on import, and it's necessary to check Polygroups on both import and export settings, as I recall (that's what I do anyway). It's a good idea to save these as presets.
