genesis essentials

just updated and reisntalled all my content with DIM. genesis essentials content is all jumbled together under one section (materials/props wardrobe). prior to updating even the major genesis essentials content was oraganized in thier proper catagories. for example now if i want to use the Duke Hair i go under hair then genesis essentials, then i have to search through ALL the genesis essentails content (not just my collection of hair) till I find the hair.

Is this how its supposed to be?

    I did the same thing, installed Denesis Starter Essentials using DIM, and I do not have any category called Genesis Essentials. Where are you seeing this, in the Smart Content pane?

    Did you install it to the new location that the DIM uses? Did you uninstall the previous version first?

    Did you also enter the new location for the content in Preferences to the Content Directory Manager?

    yeah i did a completly new install sofware and all. under every appropriate tab i have an icon that says genesis essentials. but when i click on it every thing for genesis essentails shows up and i mean everything. moved everything to the new locations designated by the DIM..

    This is the 'Product' based view of smart content. I think you want the 'Files' based view.

    In the upper left hand corner there are two items: "Files" and "Products". Your images show the "Products" selected. Click on "Files" and I think you will get the view you had before the re-install.

    The "Product" based view is sometimes useful to find accessories that came as part of a product. For example, jewelry that came with a clothing product, but most of the time you want to use the "Files" based view of Smart Content.

    Thanks mark, I don't really use Smart Content as you maybe can tell :)
