Does anyone designate software for modeling?

I would like to model clothes and shoes for Daz Studio, but I do not know which software is best for this. I would also like one to export the base of the character in OBJ, because FBX or DAE always hangs my computer, I do not know why.
And if you know of a tutorial in which you can buy or download, I'd be grateful still.
Thank you for your help!

People use a wide range of modelling applications - Blender, Modo, Hexagon, Cinema 4D, Lightwave, as well as ancillary tools (which soem use alone) such as ZBrush or 3D Coat and tools such as Marvellous Designer.
Blender is free and may be a good place to start with low investment.
ZBush Core is also an excellent modelling tool and not too steep a price but the more robust Zbrush will cost ya. :)
You might want to check out Rocket 3F. It has some nifty tools, especially if you ever fancy dabbling with hard surfaces, and there's a free version for non-commercial work.
Mudbox is an option. It's a bit quirky at times, but viable.
You may want to consider Hexagon. Some people have trouble with it crashing, but I have never had that problem. It isn't too expensive, there are some good free tutorials for it, and it has a built in bridge to DAZ Studio. There are tutorials for it on youtube as well as at this website:

Thanks for the help, but, by Blender I already tried to export the character both by Script and by OBJ, but always from error. Can you tell me why?

Have you tried Carrara?
What error are you getting and in which app are you getting it?
Sorry, I just saw the message now. I was researching and from what I saw the best modeling software (at least for what I researched) is the 3DS Max. Is it really good?
