Carrara 6.1 upgrade to 8+

Is there a way to upgrade Carrara 6.1 to 8.0. I been gone for some time and see there is a new version of it.

Oh I read this "This page allows you to upgrade to Carrara 8 from Carrara 7 or Carrara 7 Express".
You sure that would work for 6.1?
didn't realize that. I believe then you will need to buy 8.0 then and not do the upgrade.
You may also want to contact support to see what your options are.
