Need help on how to reduce bone weight

I currently tried to use the weight bursh to modify the preset weightmap of a charactee, when i set the weight sensitivity and drag the brush on the skin, it only has effect if the brush weight sensitivity is greater then the original weight at the skin (blue area will turn red , weight increased). If the original weight is already red, and i set the brush sensitivity to lighter , it has no effect. Is there any way to reduce the weightmap using the weightmap brush ?

  • I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but you do need to remember that weights a re normalised - the weights (for any given axis if yousing TriAx) on a vertex must add up to 1, so removing weight means adding it to another map - depending on the skeleton set-up that might make some parts uneditable.
