geometry shells... some questions

Hello!
I want to know...
1- Is possible to edit material assignment on the geometry shells? I mean, I can easily select polygons and assign them to another material zone or even create a new one that could fit my needings. I need to know if this is allowed and the wearable obtained is distributable as any other use I have seen of geometry shells...
2- Are the shells really intense about memory use or not?
3- Could these also have a different uv set?
Thanks in advance for the answers!

I don't think so, I don't think so, and definitely yes
thank you so much William!!!!
I don't want to jack Fabiana's thread (sorry, Fabi
), but I have a quick, related question for you Will, if you're still about. If you have answered this elsewhere, you could simply point me in the right direction? Anyway, the question is this: can you fit clothing to a geometry shell created from a figure/character just as you would to the original? Yes or no will do and I can look elsewhere for the how without cluttering up Fabiana's thread. Sorry again.
Yes, but you usually use the geometry shell as a collision target for the Smooth Modifier when you need to fit one piece of clothing over another.
No worries!!!! all is usefull and I am always happy to read more data!!!
Now, Will, I have this question... Is possible to hide from the surface's list the materials that I don´t need when using a geoshell? I know how to ON OFF the parts and the surfaces from the Parameters Palette but the materials (these that I switched to OFF) keep being there in the list, what is a bit confussing for customers. I would like to know if I have to edit any file, text file, whatever... Is that possible?
Fabi
There is a new Shell and Visiblity options in the Parameter pane.
