Then you will definitely want to have at the artist's back catalog whenever this does get released. There are some *great* prop/furniture sets there.

I do in fact have several of his items, his medieval tavern is fantastic!  And of course, I have plenty more wishlisted lol.

I am so excited by that kitchen setup. I was just looking for a Servant's Hall kind of thing. Really hoping this is in the range of $50 (and will come out during March Madness >.>) rather than $100. Even though it's totally a Pro Pack of medieval sets.

Right?  I've stopped buying almost anything so I can buy this.  I have a couple of must haves on my list that I know are coming in the near future but this one is an instant buy the second I see it in the shop, even if its out of the price range of what I am usually willing to spend.  I've been collection all the medieval furniture and props for months now as its one of my absolute favorite periods to render in and it works perfectly for the type of fantasy renders I like to do, so I have plenty of stuff to put into the rooms as well.

From what Luc said  earlier, I would expect the initial set to be somewhere in the $30 to $40 range and then there will be a series of expansion sets released periodically after.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

I'll add a good amount of props to every preset, some new, some old, but every old one is retouched, either at the geometry level or UV's or at the very least with I-ray materials.I won't complain it you get catalog products lol.... But I'll make sure every preset for MICK is up to today's standards.

As for pricing, I haven't yet decided which way to go. I will consult with DAZ and decide then :)

On a related note, do you have any idea about when we might see it in the store? this week/next month/...?

Most likely after MM. Most seasoned users of Studio already have a feel for what it is..For newer users, I need to make promos and readmes that make sense of what this is and how to use it...It's a bit time consuming

Okay, thanks, and good luck with making the promos and such.

Good to know I can still spend a bit of money in MM :)

I like your style.  I'm a fairly seasoned user nowadays but I can still remember the early days when I really struggled with some products with vague or downright poor documentation.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

...I have currently 105 architectural props and 130 other props (furniture, lighting etc...) Each architectural prop has several materials to choose from...

One of my first (and still one of my favorite) environments was your Opus Magnum. I remember thinking what a bargain it was given all the props that filled that room. Like others, I'm very much looking forward to the release of this, Faveral!

Awesome! Noticed the cool shield and swords above the fireplace in MICK15. Will we be able to choose from different styles of props like these?

    My purse just whimpered.

My creditcard tried to run for the hills. And I think I heard a whimper.

Looks great, Faveral, will wait for the release of the set, then.

  • Absolutely love the kitchen/dining area set.  Can't wait to see them in the store.

Thank you all for the nice comments.

Tudor style will be included. What you see here is just a tiny bit of what's included. This set is pretty versatile in creating whatever indoors environment you want to create. It's got plenty of different styles and textures too.

The way I plan on releasing it, is first releasing MICK itself (all the architectural elements, about 100 of them) along with the medieval great hall shown here with all its furniture props. I'll then continue to release presets all with generous amounts of furniture and other props, so in the end, you end up with a nice catalog of both architectural and furniture props, plus a few presets.

My wallet is going to dislike you, Luc, but i'm loving it. Tudor style will be just great. :D

Didn't half startle the cats LOL

    Now to install and play:)

    <squee>

Faveral, you just mentioned the Great Hall set as an extra above, but we've got three sets in the store. Is this everything for now, or will there be... <covers bank card's ears> more...?

Short pause while I figure out if I can afford the bundle, or just the MICK set for now.

First impression: wow! It's really easy to snap together walls, floors, etc. I can see that saving presets for larger floor/ceiling squares and lengths of wall is going to be a timesaver, though.

Quick render test, lit with ghostlight panels behind the windows:

Super excited to see this in the store today.  Hoping to have time a bit later to play a bit.  I was originally going to just get the kit but those premades are just too beautiful to resist lol.  Truly very well done.

I am still weighing up buying the kit now or the bundle later.

    Is doing my mind in.

  • jardinejardine Posts: 1,202

fantastic!  my jaw dropped, my mind blew, but my fingers still managed to click the bundle into the cart.  not sure how i managed to complete the purchase--i think my soul may have stepped up at that point.  :)
