Reset prop to content default?

Hi, somehow I messed up a prop from a package.  I was playing around with posing and creating pose presets.  At one point, I needed to use a prop and position it, and wanted to save its location in relation to the pose.  I created a Properties Preset.  But now the prop is ALWAYS moved when it is loaded, even on a new scene.  I have tried to uninstall package that contains the prop, delete package, and reinstall.  But the prop is still moved no matter how I do it!  How can I reset prop to its default from the Daz store?

Thanks,

Tom

Bonus question: what is the proper way of saving a prop for a pose preset?

  • It sounds as if you must have saved a morph asset which controls the offset, though deleting the files from the Data folder should clear that (assuming that's what you deleted between uninstalling and reinstalling).

How would I find this morph?  I uninstall and delete the package.  I check the Data directory and it is gone.  Reinstall, and the prop is still moved!

    Thanks.

  • Load and seelct the prop, then in the Parameters pane look in Curently Used.

  • Hi Richard,

Sorry to be such a noob. :-)  I see the parameters that are currently used (rotations and translations).  And I can reset them... but I want the default object reset.  Do I need to make a new preset (I assume Properties preset) and copy it back into the My Daz 3D Library?

    Thanks,

    Tom

  • Click the gear icon on one of the Currently Used parameters and select Parameter Settings. Is the Default value non-zero? If not lok at the Controllers tab - is anything listed?
