Aww, thanks! Yeah, most of the Gypsy Boys are brutally handsome. :D  I have a weakness for pretty men.

Sigh, so do I. Which is why I've got a growing collection of Gypsy Boys, Darwin's Guys, and FWSA hotties. I don't think there's a cure. Not sure I'd want one anyhow!

Well, this one hits the store on the 11th. So it looks like Mace will be out early Sunday morning. :D

Mace went into my cart shortly after DAZ midnight. Not sure when I'll check out, as I want to pick up some other things at the same time...

Such a "beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful boy."

I said to myself when I first saw this thread, 'I don't *need* him, I have to cut back', and he comes out and straight into my cart. No self control where your Boys are concerned. My credit card is off in a corner crying in preperation of me checking out. And we are probably facing Darius 7 a few days before Christmas. I wonder if the family will accept Corned Beef for Christmas Lunch this year...

If it's any consolation, you can tell yourself you're helping me not be homeless this year! Which is true...had a bad few months.
But he's going to put me back in OK territory again. :D

*HUGS* to you Gypsy Angel. I've so been there, more than once! Happy to help put you back in OK territory again! Mace is gorgeous. I think he'll work wonderfully as one of my superheroes in my Black Kat series. It's fun and has a lot of diversity in it. Can't wait to render him!

  • Snapped him up!! Utterly gorgeous.

I'm a painter in RL, so been there too, Gypsyangel. If that happens again, let us know and we'll start a kickstarter to tide you over.I believe there are many people here who want to cherish and support the PA's, who give us tools we don't have the time, recources or knowledge to create ourselves.

I do hope some of those complaining about the lack of good male models take the time to look at what PA's like you and Darwinsmishaps are doing.

Awwww!! Thank you, guys!! :D heart

He's doing pretty good, though...I hope everyone enjoys him.
    @23 cascade

Everyone has been awesome about the Gypsy Boys. They have quite the following---I've been doing male characters since before there was a Michael 4. My first male was a Michael 3. So, long time fans have always been really good about supporting my work with the male characters. You guys have been really great to me. :) It was even said that two of my characters, Ragnar for Gianni and Rick for Cory managed to redeem the models. Which, I don't know about that, but it's always fun to hear. ;)

  • I just wanted to say you did some really impressive promo art for this one, particularly that last picture.  Into the cart it goes ;)

OMG. Do you EVER think of your customers' bloodpressure, gypsyangel? :-)

Mace is drop dead gorgeous. What a man! Must go and check my bloodpressure, and if it's ok, then install him... ;-)

    Oh, thanks!!
I've got another male on the drawing board right now...a blonde, this time. Maybe. :D I tend to go dark brown to black haired, so it's going to be fun. I've done a few blondes in M4's. So we'll see how he falls out...

Wow, this was an instant purchase, didn't even have to think.  I looked through the promos, but didn't even need to cuz I was already sold!  Thanks for a great male character, and one of color is an added bonus.

Ooh we need more blondes! Certainly not enough of them. Would love to have lighter brow options, especially for the white haired fantasy guys. I'm not sure how the current brow products work on the men. They seem to work okay on the women.

Wow!!! I'm looking at a test render of Mace in progress, and your N.G.S. implementation puts him on a whole 'nother level. Kudos to you!

First, thank you again for another figure and also for adding to the ethnic diversity of the Daz3d gene pool. As one of the few black people in the forum, it is often slim pickings to find characters that look even a little like us.  I did the 1) apply the manual shader application in Anagenessis, 2) copied the surface settings from Mace's hip, 3) replaced the textures in all of 3 minutes, and the gens looked fine with the Anagenesis shader.  Great eyebrow too!

Actually, the Gen thing didn't quite work.... but great character1

Oh, thank you!! When I started making characters, I decided the best thing to do was create characters that I would personally buy. it means they're kind of mismatched, they don't have perfectly symmetrical eyebrow or eyes, they don't have a row of identical makeup in 20 different shades and they aren't all model perfect. My men are usually hunky but a bit rough and larcenous. in short, they're my Gypsy Kidz.

Yeah, blondes are hard to do because the hair washes out in renders. it's really difficult, especially with eyebrows and eyelashes...whew. They just up and disappear in most renders. For blonde eyebrows you have to go a bit darker and hit gold/brown. otherwise in full renders where there's scenery and another character or two, their eyebrows look non existent. It makes them look really weird. People need eyebrows.

I think that's what makes them special. Your guys have lots of personality in them. They don't feel generic. They're interesting, different and unique, and yet still very appealing. I'm downloading Mace right now and can't wait to render him!
