Vague / irritating Product Specifications
Hi,
for most of the character products I'm in doubt whether they fit or not to the characters / actors I already own.
For example this "Yeah Buddy Mix And Match Expressions for Brodie 6" product.
You write: "Compatible figures: Genesis 2 Male".
But the title says: "... for Brodie 6".
And later in the description: "Yeah Buddy is a pack of expressions organized (...) for Brodie 6".
OK - some lines lower on the other hand you write: "Although they were made especially for Brodie 6, they also work on Genesis 2 Male(s), and figures based on him."
So what's true?
My complain is because:
In the past I purchased some products with the similar vague descriptions and later I had to learn that some of the features didn't work without some further missing (really expensive) products.
The next topic:
Way in the past for all products at the end of the presentation there was a list what further products were used to produce the promos.
If you now see those pictures you think that you easily may be able to reproduce these scenes by purchasing this product. But in real the set is very small and most of your own camera positions see a lot of not existing environment. So which further assets to use to avoid to only see the dark, empty ground of a skydome?
My problem is, that I miss a lot of further environment elements to create a suitable surrounding for acceptable renders with a specific set.
So please return to the more descriptive behaviour.
Which further products are involved.
What background, Skydome, HDRI, Hair, Clothing was used.
Thank you.

Brodie 6 is a specific character built on the Genesis 2 Male base, so both compatibilities are true. There are many small variables between the specific characters but in general an expression pack or pose set or outfit made for one character will work with some small tweaking with all the other characters and the base for that generation; in this case Genesis 2 male.
I do agree more information in the description and includes list is worth having to give a customer the opportunity to make an informed decision.
True.
A more drastic example over here:
http://www.daz3d.com/range-ranch-and-rodeo-action
In the specifications:
"Compatible Figure: NO
But later you see: It is only for "DAZ Horse 2"
This statement only in the very last line.
So DAZ-Team please: Really !!
Please rework your Shop !
Thank you.
But what is the complaint? When buying product, you are supposed to read all the product descriptions and in both cases you found out what the requirements are. The thing is, the request is very subjective and even when the must desciptive use of the product is listed, some people will still have issues. This is what then is what the forum is for; to ask additional questions regarding a product.
If you have a question, that's probably your best route.
But you want to generate hundreds of threads like this: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/129056/which-horses-will-this-work-with ?
The forum is for product questions and knowledge sharing.
This is indeed an awkward situation because that pose set looks like it is older, and was originally made for Millenium Horse 1 which is still available in the store yet was replaced by Daz Horse 2. Not sure why it says Compatible Figure: NO
the "mil horse" is available http://www.daz3d.com/millennium-horse-bundle
Then they added the notes that the pose set will work with Daz Horse 2 which would suggest the skeletons are similar.
