Cloth room like in Poser Pro

Hi, I've read that poser pro has the ability to turn any clothes in to dynamic clothing. It would be great if Daz can also go this. Optitex only has limited clothes so I think being able to turn any clothes into dynamic clothing in Daz would be really great.

I think this is something many people would like. I have been asking for it for some time. I doubt DAZ will abandon the Optitex system. The best we can hope for is a PA making a plugin which can turn any object or figure into a cloth (it would be wonderful for hair too) and then apply gravity to it.
Is there anyway to take a poll on whether people think this is a good idea?
There is a stand alone utility for Poser that was designed to improve on the cloth room. It has bridges that allow it to work with Studio and Cararra. Search for "VWD" at Renderosity. It also does dynamic hair.
I read somewhere that vwd isn't good though.
My experience with VWD was horrid. It wrapped everything into balls or shot the items off the screen. The help files and videos aren't very helpful. Some people have great success with it but it seems to only work under very specific conditions. At least I got my money back. This experience prompted me to try Poser again and I haven't opened Studio in a couple of months now. Being able to turn almost anything into a dynamic item has let me do the kinds of stuff I couldn't do in Studio.
Now if Smith Micro would just fix the horrid GUI, I'd kill for tabbed pallets like Studio...or Adobe...or most other graphics programs.
I beta tested it; then when it was relesed, bought it. (The bridge, that is.)
There is a learning curve, but it is very good, and lightyears ahead of optitex.
Hell, I bought clothing items I wouldn't have bothered with otherwise - as I could dynamic them.
So is it worth using? I hope you can post tutorials on how to use it, saw the vids on YouTube and didn't understand it that much.
I use it in a lot of scenes I create; I haven't time to create tutorials on it atm.
I don't do video tutorials either, if I do manage to create one.
As an aside, I find that giving clothing a push modifier of .1 or so helps give it a believable thickness (as well as helping eliminate most lingering poke through). Also, Generic smoothing seems to work better than Base shape matching.
I found Generic Smoothing works better too...
