Daz needs to show more respect to the adult entertainment industry re: 3D content.

A lot of money is being made in adult entertainment with 3D renders. The problem is that DAZ continues to neglect the most important and alluring features in their 3D models. Particularly V4's thighs & buttocks. When V4 is in provocative positions the geometry just doesn't look right. It's been years and years yet there isn't a solid, professional, ENTERPRISE level solution. I'm not talking about the current fixes on the market. I'm talking about realistic life like geometrical accuracies. When V4 is bent over, the geometry must bend the same way a lady would in real life.

So what's the solution here? Money. If DAZ can just pay some more respect to V4's derriere then I would gladly pay for it. When she is bent over, I want it to look just like it would in a real life photo. Please consider it. Even V5 Genesis doesn't bend properly at the thigh and buttock.

I'm currently ready to pay $99.95 for a professional solution.

You could always go to CGTalk.com and hire a modeller/rigger to set you up.

I have made a morph to fix just that issue:) but it is for personal use:) It's called Interbend:) However if you want a product that comes close you can get this - ralfetas' V4 BEND MORPH. Just google it since I cannot post a link. It makes a huge difference. Also if you want better realism on bends, use Genesis. You can transfer all of your favourite morphs over from V4 and get even better results.

My question to the OP is this: if the Adult Film Industry is going to make SOOOOOO much money on 3D: why can't Adult 3D Film producers afford high end artists using sate of the art software to make their stuff?

Dealing with just the look aspect, Renderosity there is a set of products even bundled that did all of that. Actually two different sets, look up i13 overhaul and Perfect V4 Complete (the latter is a bundle)

People really are looking for realism in their porn.

@ -_Milo_- None of them do what the OP is asking. The genitals sit too deep between the buttox cheeks. You need a morph that makes them flush with the cheeks, which is what happens when you bend over. The set I mentioned does a good job at achieving that. Alternatively, you just need a morph that brings the centre of the hip group (genital area) in or out. Easily achieved with magnets or deformer brush.

probably because in reality that "SOOOOOO much" is actualy just "A bit"
Logistically speaking - I'd imagine you can hire real actors for much less than a bunch of Maya Licences, a team of 3d artists ,a render farm and big fat electricity bill. There would be no point.
The only reason I can see that someone would opt to make 3d porn (which i'd imagine is fairly low demand compared to the real thing) is that its very low cost to produce - thanks to the likes of Poser.

Also remember people have different tastes. To some real life porn appeals to them, for others it is illustrated materials, and others prefer 3d art or animation. If these alternative mediums weren't appealing, there wouldn't be a market for it:) Ooops, I forgot to mention hentai as well lol.

There are lots of products for V4 to make her more Calabasas worthy. I know there are magnets and morphs for the breasts and buttocks, and a certain other site has products for the other bits. I try not to think of what some of you are doing with this poor mesh. :red:

Yes to the just a bit piece.

Yes to the fairly low demand part. More demand for drawn porn than 3d porn for good reasons.

Yes to the part of the reason 3D porn exists is that 3D porn is cheaper to produce than getting good makeup artist to make the girl next door actually look like an elf, or the guy involved with her looking like a dragon/imp/troll.

Both drawn and 3d porn do a better job with the fantasy elements than using real folks.

Oh... okay, so if poser porn makes so much money, why is he complaining? It is what it is.

His complaint was that he wanted more support, but really he was asking the wrong company. There are other places to ask for those types of improvements.

And Dogz said "a bit" as in not that much money. Which is probably accurate.

So 3D Daz erotica only makes a bit of money so no point in Daz getting a piece of the pie (which they are scared of).

I agree, I'd like to see better quality 3d Prawns also, the ones I've seen don't look like anything I'd eat.

I admit, my foray onto a site with a name similar to Renderosity's was brief, but I would guess 3d adult entertainment is stalled by a few issues. The most important is not that most people don't want 3d porn, but that most 3d porn is TERRIBLE. Terribly lit, terribly rendered, and terribly animated. (I'm not a fan of all the monster rape scenarios, either, but that's a different kind of terrible.)

The problem is not a lack of morphs to expose V4's bits. It's that attention has been paid to that rather than to the things that make a good 3d render or film.

True, but to a certain degree the model must look and bend realistically. In most of these cheap animations or pics V4 bends like a plank and detracts from the overal look. I have seen some images where they were done over with postwork and was immediately way better and more convincing.
