Laser beam/projectile/muzzle flash

I would really like a laser beam for my sci-fi renders, and muzzle flash pack, both sized to fit sci-fi weapons and on their own so I can fix them to say... my robo-spider which is a great model but has an a non-glowy laser.

These are good, thanks so much for the aswesome links! . I've downloaded them all.
I like the realistic look, and some of these are great.
I would like to see daz produce a set that has similar work.
I have a set of muzzle-blast, explosion and bullet dirt-spray props on my site in the "Skunkworks" area that are free... it's all one set contains close to 20 different explosion/dirt-spray effects and a couple of muzzle blasts for small and large guns... they're all in PP2 format and will work in both Poser and Daz Studio... http://www.schells.ca/index.php?page=skunkworks
There's also a freebie morphable floating sci-fi landmine on that same page as well... maybe usefull?
