I'm trying to find present-day clothing suitable for an old woman. I don't want anything fancy, just a plain dress of some sort. Any suggestions?

Wilmap has some basic type clothing, and it's free http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/45589/wilmap-s-digital-creations-last-updated-8-10-16#latest
Morphing Fantsy Dress covers a lot too.. Chohole's got a bunch of really nice textures for it on her site (see her sig).
Fisty, I did try the morphing fantasy dress, but it just doesn't work for what I need in this particular case.
Chohole, thank you! Wilmap has exactly what I need. I've downloaded it, unzipped it, and put the files where the instructions in Wilmap indicate. However, I can't get them to be recognized in the Content Library. I think I need better guidelines as to how and where to place them in order to have them recognized by DAZ. Also, the file data says they are for DAZ Studio 4.6. I have 4.9. Would that make a difference? I wouldn't think it would, and I think the problem lies in the correct placement, but I'm still learning and need help with file placement.
I think you will find that Wendy (Wilmap) has a doc she has done telling people how to install her stuff. I am sure that her stuff will work in the newer DS, although shaders may need tweaking if you want to render in Iray.
The usual reason is taking the entire content of the zip file and dropping it into your content folder -- there's usually a top-level folder inside the zip that you need to skip, and just take what's inside that folder and put it in your content folder.
I tried taking the contents out of the content folder and putting them into Studio/My Library, which is where Wilmap instructions say to put them. That didn't work, so I tried putting the contents into My DAZ3D Library. After doing that, I did bring them up in the Content Library, but I can't load them into my scene.
What's the filename and location of the file you're trying to load, and what happens when you try?
Nothing happens. It doesn't load. I'm trying to load G2F Blouse and Skirt, a file that I got from Wilmap (00399 G2F Skirt & Blouse). I'm trying to load it onto a family portrait scene that includes an old woman, for whom I used Genesis2 Female and aged her. I can bring the file up in the Content Library from this location:My DAZ3D Library/People/Genesis 2 Female/Clothing/Pusey Designs/G2F Skirt & Blouse/Materials. I double click on the one I want, and nothing happens. I've tried Merge into scene, and nothing happens. I click on Show Asset in Smart Content>Files and get this message: The chosen products could not be found with the current filtering options. The file elements appear in other locations under My DAZ3D Library, but from those locations I can't bring them up in the Content Library. The scene is complete accept for the old woman, who sadly remains naked as a jaybird. I need to get the scene finished, because it's for a frame for a book trailer, and I'm about to launch the book, so I'm really pressed for time.
Don't double click on the Materials file. You need to double click on the Wardrobe item first. It might be in a folder one level higher. (I don't have this, so I can't check.)
The base item will be found in "People/Genesis 2 Female/Clothing/Pusey Designs/G2F Skirt & Blouse" - materials will only work on the base item.
Thank you, Wendy! That got it. My scene is now complete.
Frivolous 40s and the clothing from the 20s and 30s for women (search for Carnival) is particularly nice with lots of options but you will need to buy V4 to Genesis 1/2/3 fitting products to get really good use of those outfits. Most of is PC+ and $1.99 or cheaper.
Is that real ... or a render? I don't know what's real anymore :(
Real, and apparently Chohole cross edited it or something?

edited size. Because of the variety of "devices" that are used to view the forums we have settled on a max width of 800 for forum display. By using the 2nd tab on the image screen it is possible to then make it open full size in a new window if clicked on.
Well, the editors should have let her really smile and those granny wrinkles come through. Doubtless she's earned them.
I use Bobby Soxer a lot. The cardigan and blouse are perfect. The shoes don't work, but you can fix those. http://www.daz3d.com/bobby-soxer
