DAZ Studio 4.9 to 3DS Max

I got my hands on a trial for 3ds max and a trial for the latest v-ray and they can achieve pretty spectacular results and fast render times. My quesion is, how can i export my characters (model + clothes + hair + pose + morphs) from daz studio 4.9 and import them into 3ds max in order to render them with v-ray?
I tried exporting as fbx but when importing everything is messed up (clothes / hair are not where they should be and i actually get 2 characters, one with the actual pose i saved and one with the standard / zero pose in DS). I also tried exporting as obj but i can only import everything as a single mesh (everything looks ok here) except there are no materials.
What's the way to do it right?
BTW i'm working with gen3 characters...

You can hide all but one figure and export as OBJ, then hide that and show another, export as OBJ, etc. - that will give you separate OBJs for each item, but of course they won't be rigged as figures.
