Oh you're not alone... I haven't been able to log on to post anything. The sign on screen is having fits! Not to mention the checkout screen for the store. I had to give up and walk away for a couple of hours. Me thinks the gremlins have moved into the new server. Last time something like this happened at work, it wasn't a software issue but rather a hardware one... They had to replace the whole thing. :grrr:

This is my entry for the Annual Pin-up challenge.

Title: Why Don't You Do Right
    ~snip~

A very nice entry for a pinup girl. We do have one problem though. Since the new site is now up, the old site is dead, so you have some dead links here. Number 4, 5 and 10 are dead links. No good. Also you need to list when you have a link that requires registration to get the freebie. Number 8 must require registration.

With three dead links, that takes you down to only 9 freebies. You need 10 to qualify, so try to find one more.

    :-)

I fixed them. The sharecg link was only missing the /v/ in the link. The other two were dead. I updated my image.

    Thanks,

    Alexa :)

Kendall, glad you think so ;) Personally I belive there is more in expression, body language than to be almost naked that makes women sexy .

LG.. feel free to make a variation on the theme :D Oh this render was a disaster, no matter how much lights, and which dirrection they were I still had half of her arm black... Just gave up, and made " out of nowhere" lightning, just to have her good lighted ....

Edited to say: Nevermind, it's the standard Multiplane I got from the Safari Bundle at one point. Well, I need to finish filling on freebies, otherwise...

Agree, sexappeal is at least 80% mindset, unfortunately it is hard to capture in stills.
It is a very nice scene Krissy. Have you tried area lights? They give very nice soft shadows. They will also bring the 3Delight engine to a crawl if there is transmaps casting shadows.

Actually working the expressions works good, but then you have to work camera really good to sho it off. ;)

I used poser, there are different lights in poser, and they act a bit different. I like DS lights better, because you have a bit more controll over lightning...

Krissy - I'll agree with you that the lighting needs some work. It's got a couple of "hot spots" that are a little annoying and I know all too well how frustrating lighting can be. But, with that being said, the concept and execution of the piece is brilliant! I wish I'd though of it...

Oom Fooyat - I've never been a big fan of Anime (I used to love Astro Boy when I was a kid, but that was 50 years ago) and I always thought that 3D interpretations of that particular style looked even stranger than the 2D version, but...you really nailed it! What really comes off is the sheer exuberance of that last day of school and the freedom that summer allows. There's a wonderful feeling of movement against a static background that almost seems to create an explosion of action when viewing this piece.

Good grief! We're only 2 days into the month and there's already a slew of really good renders. I'm gonna hafta get busy...

I think what got me was the way the sun is shining on her face!

Let's see dat real man up in dis new site!

Yeah, we have now reported the loss of all the old PA 24 days giveways, It is because they are held in the same place as the old Daz freebie archive. All the DLs point to freedownloads.daz3d.com and that subdomain hasn't been moved over to the archived site yet.. Hopefully we can persuade them to do this, but I doubt it will be a priority.

You can find some nice sci-fi consoles and things over at ShareCG. Some by pjmeri (3-d-c) are good.
