Cool Sports... Hoodie.... Question

I bought cool sports, and I like the outfit. But.... I can't seem to fit hair under the hood. There is a morph for adjusting hat, but it just doesn't give enough head space. I don't want my characters to look bald. Any advice on this one?

Had the same problem with this outfit. I tried to set as much of the top and the back of the hair to invisible in the scene tab, then had to play around with camera angle. Not optimal, but i really like the look of the outfit so i'm considering making morphs for this as well as for dropping the hood.
Haven't made one before, so it might take me a while...

    This is the 'usual' fix...

I've got a product for that also. Hat and Hair Fixer.

Basically you conform this snug hood to Genesis, conform the hair to it, and use the hood morphs to smush the hair down. It won't do anything on the bottom parts of long hair, but usually you can swing those forward with their own morphs.

Hm... I like the outfit, but I guess, I feel I shouldn't have to buy more stuff to make it fit properly... Yeah, I know, but that isn't a cheap outfit. Seems kind of a strange bug, since the promo art implies hair is possible under the hoodie.

Only the first promo shows any, and it's one shock sticking out the front. It could easily be something like the OOT Super Updo, which has bangs but no back on some pieces, or one of DAZ's ponytails with bangs that has the ponytail turned off. What hair are you trying to use?

Thanks SickleYield. You are always so helpful. Its melody hair.... I'm trying to use. The existing morphs don't cover it entirely. Will try making parts invisible when I get home at night, not sure if that is possible with that hair, since I'm at work and can't try it.

I see in the promo material had morphs listed for adjusting the hat, and a picture of a character with hair. I

As a matter of purest curiosity, what happens if you turn off limits on the hood morph and then try again to use it to enlarge?

That said, I wouldn't expect Melody hair to fit under most hoods -- you probably have some ferocious pokethrough in the back, although that may not matter. For that look, you need something relatively flat all the way around. Pure Hair Nightlife or Charming, for example.

Yuh. The Melody hair has that giant ponytail that sticks up even past the level of the actual head hair. It's gorgeous, but it's not really made to go under things as big as a hood (it'd look great with a crown or tiara,I bet). If you can't turn the ponytail off it's just not going to fit under headgear.

To be honest, for something like a hat or hood, there is no effective way to make certain all the hairs out there fit them properly. Sure, the creator COULD buy every single hair model out there and create a morph to make sure it fits under said hat or hood, but that is (IMHO) incredibly unreasonable. Sickle's hat and hair fixer is a good thing, but it's not JUST for the hood - it's good for pretty much any hat / hair combo except the most extreme hairs.

There's also Lyrra's version, in the MP here; http://www.daz3d.com/shop/deformers-plus-hat-head

Hmm. agree it is unreasonable to test every hair, but the hood should allow for more adjusments than two on the side. It only has 2- ones on the side, which hardly adjusted anything.

The hood should also be removable or lowered position. this way, hair could be used freely.

Another way that works is making the hood a different piece.

In Poser, the way I have gotten around hoods and such is using a magnet to collapse a portion of the offending hair,

    or

    using a product like this:

Only problem I see is that it uses materials that may need adjusting in Studio.
