I missed the Never World, so.... Theives Alley. I'll see how sales go and who knows, more sets more twists more turns.

I hope everyone likes this one I had a blast going back to the Never World.

I like the look of this Antman

Any idea how much memory it takes using iray? I bought a street scene a while ago and there was no chance it rendering in iray with a 2gb card - is why I ask

You can use 3Delight, I have Bump maps for all the textures already set up in the set. The only thing you may want to tweak is the lights. Here is a un retouched render wit 3Delight so you can see what I mean.

    Hope it helps.

Looks great. Can we turn off walls to get the camera into some of those tight spaces?

There are 3 or more wall textures but not prop parts, but I was able to get in all the tight shots OK adjusting the cameras focal length.

This is just a quick knock-together - with A5 and one of Jepe's ThrowZ using the Iray sun/sky set to 9:00 PM.

Nice Drop a point light around that corner and crank it up, you'll get those cool shadows and feel the impact of her magic. Battle on!

Here is a creepy shadow effect with one point light done in 3Delight with the settings I used. I can post more if it's helpful.

Thanks, I did another render with some more mood lighting and save it as a light preset that you can grab at this link. Don't hold DAZ resoponsable for it this is all my doing.

This one I added a night effect light  (Blue Spot) and candle glow. And yes this is a 3Dlight render.

Note: I did creat a new camera and turned the headlamp off for this. For Iray turn Photometrics on for all the lights and set the spot to 2200000.0 Lums and the other two lights to 150000.0 Lums. Turn render to scene only.

Thanks for the suggestion. Went a slightly different route, adding some of Porsimo's fire and switching to one of Jepe's Iray ThrowZ.

I love the look, but I don't really like that it all loads as one and I can't move the barrels and crates around a bit. Otherwise great set, though.

Next time I'll prop it out. I wasn't sure if anyone would still be interested in the Never World look but I'm glad to say it looks good for more sets.

Namffuak, you captured the tension of an unseen foe which is very cool and not easy to do, very nice!

Put me down for more sets, and if you're taking requests I'd still like a shops/merchant street.

I know I am just one person but I would most definitely be interested in more.

To me it seems like a great deal, with the intro price and associated sales especially. I am a fan of the Neverworld series, but only have a few pieces. I don't imagine there will be trouble integrating this set with others, if need be. The look, while detailed, is not too specific. It can be used in any genre, fantasy, *-punk, pre-modern, horror, etc. I bought it with the idea I would make some "Thieves World" homage images of some sort.

I would like to see individual props, maybe even camera presets, but who am I kidding? I always play with those settings anyway and its not going to kill me to set up a few cameras of my own. I am concerned that the barrels, etc., can't be moved, as Nath said, but the details and general feel outweight that for me.

So sign me up for more Never World too.

One thing I was thinking of was a forge, maybe black smith or maybe something larger. I could see modular shops, I am just finishing a Sci Fi set of that.

  • IceDragonArtIceDragonArt Posts: 12,548

A blacksmith and/or forge would be awesome...

  • AntManAntMan Posts: 2,051

Feel free to sugest as always I am open to great ideas. But yeah something about steel and stone sounds fun.

  • Joe WebbJoe Webb Posts: 837

Forge or foundry of some type sounds fun. A tavern, to go along with Never Still, might be something you're interested in doing. Hard to say though - its too easy to make it too "fantasy" and there is at least one other product like that, probably more. On the other hand your stuff is pretty distinctive so that shouldn't be an issue.

a Blacksmith shop with a Stable near/next to  the BlackSmith shop

  • IceDragonArtIceDragonArt Posts: 12,548

oooh a stable would be awesome!

  • AntManAntMan Posts: 2,051

I can see that, even if it was a small out building. Sounds fun.
