Need help using Transfer Utility

I'm sure this has been asked before but I have tried searching the forums and get mostly irrelevant results.
Here is my workflow:
Load Genesis 3 Female base into the scene.
Create a sphere primitive. The primitive is now at "world center" or floor
Position the sphere so it surrounds G3's head
Following the instructions in the DAZ wiki, I select Assets>Transfer Utility
see attachment for options I choose, and I have tried several Follower, Wardrobe, etc etc
Click Accept
the utility runs for a while and when it finishes, the sphere (or any object I have imported from another 3D modeling app) drops back to the initial position it had when created or imported. I can provide a screen shot of the "after" if necessary.
I've tried first making the object a "figure" and a few other guesses as to what the problem is. If someoen could please tell me what the secret is, I'd be appreciative.

What is it you are trying to accomplish?
I am making clothes in Blender and i want to have Genesis 3 wear them, i.e. conforming clothing. SO when the clothing item I imported to DAZ failed in this way, to eliminate any errors I may have made when creating the clothing, I tried to just have G3 wear a sphere created within DAZ itself. I failed at that also as you can see.
In a nutshell, this: http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/userguide/creating_content/rigging/tutorials/transfer_utility/start
Maybe this tutorial by SickleYield will help.
Edit: I modified the link. It went to the wrong part of the multipart tutorial. But maybe you'll want to read all parts. The tutorials have links to the other parts.
Thanks, I follow SickleYield on DeviantArt and she does good tutorials. I even considered asking her my questions but I realize she is very busy :D There must be at least one step I am not doing so I will surely look at her tut/ Thanks for the link!
I believe you want to move the figure to match the clothing (in this case, the sphere) instead of moving the sphere to match the figure. Then you want to make sure the figure set as source has "current" selected in the dropdown and the reverse morphs option checked.
Make sure you exported Genesis 3 as a base to Blender to model your clothing mesh on.
Transfer Utility is transfering the rig/weight to your clothing and even the sphere, (check with posing/animating Genesis3 and see the fitted items move/morph along with ehr). But these items are created without reference to Genesis 3's figure space and scale I suspect?
