In these kind of sales featured artists are ususally those who have a product as "debut new" or "still new".
do the doorbusters ever change?
They are not meant to, no.
Given how large the selection is, I rather doubt it will.
It was once extremely good as was customer service and a whole host of other things. The original company actually seemed to care about quality and customers.
+1
looks quite clean compared to mine
You got me. I had to look up Seggs.
I don't think sex is a banned word yet. Apparently, even the Puritans had it their in vocabulary. Something about whether you are a boy or a girl. It depends on the context. If you use the word in a salacious sentence, then yes that sentence could get the post removed. If this post gets removed, then I am mistaken.
As for the March Quirky Sale (MQS), I have managed to get 12 items, in the past 2 days, off my wishlist at between 80% and 90% with the sale and tokens. When I adjust for buying a New item then it is still above 78%. It is good to have a LARGE wishlist (2693) or to be king! Whichever!
However, I do agree there is a strong propensity toward adult female clothing and anatomy add-ons. Probably because it sells. I would also like to see a greater assortment of items for kitbashing and male gender style figures. Maybe more NOT sexy armour (sci-fi and historical). ooops I used the sex word!
Wow my heart goes out to you. That level of disorder in purchased products annoys me.
However I will agree with previous posters, DAZ customer service is still very good but it was AWESOME when Cindy was there under the old team. QC was better but some of the problems in my DIM content stem from products in the olden days (man I miss riding my dinosaur). I could only speculate as to the internal issues, but I think it is a corporate issue not an employee issue. EVRYONE I have dealt with at DAZ has been great and tried to do their best.
Thanks, I forgot about that.
There was literally no variety in my wishlisted artists over the last days. But it makes sense seeing there's not much variety in the debut new sellers either.
@tsroemi, I'm glad that I'm not the only one to notice the one-sidedness of the range. Yes, maybe MM will get a turn towards more variety and more attractively priced, more imaginative offers. It's not bad, but it lacks that certain zing that the big sales last autumn and before Christmas had.
@hjake, I'm not sure what is now considered inappropriate here, but I assume the term ‘sex’ isn't one of them - as you rightly say, unless it's mentioned in a salacious context. I just thought the term ‘seggs’ was funny when I read it in a newspaper article the other day. It was about censorship in social media.
I did exactly what you did: as I didn't like the daily specials, I combed through my WL and found some things that were getting nice discounts with the Gold Stars and the like.
You are spot on and as my good friend Rimmer would say in the most inoffensive expletive possible - SMEG!
Glad you are using the great power of wishlist but remember it comes with great responsibility!
DAZ has never looked more like Renderosity than it has these past two days. I said before that it worried me because I don't want to shop at Renderosity.
Agreed, and going by various comments it would seem some people would like to see it looking like Renderotica.
They must be catching up on a backlog. I just got a fix for one I reported last July. Judging by the dates on the files, the PA fixed it last September, but it wasn't packaged for distribution until now.
Mad Door category could work, if it was priced accordingly.

Most of the items I've seen in the selection have been offered for a dollar multiple times before. Some have been given away as freebies on special occassions, and some have been in the weekly freebies.
Was it a flat 1$ a day, yeah I would definitly get some, but 3$ per item or 2$+20$ premiere fee
Who knows maybe there will be a grab a bag later on... but... hehe... it can very well be hidden behind membership and a buy-in, in which case it will be a month of mad savings indeed.
I shop both places there is stuff both places that interests me. I don't necessarily want Daz store filled with stuff from both places. The great welcoming brought a bunch of stuff from rendo that really could have/should have stayed at rendo. I don't think Daz was sufficiently discerning about what came over. And some stuff I'd have liked to see here stayed there. Figures!
As for 'rotica vendors moving their adult products here, I don't really see that happening. And I could be wrong.
Well today I got some madness on 11 items at 88% off for the cart, so not too shabby using Lowpi Area and Slope as my new release buy in.
Don't worry. DAZland is still extremely different from Renderosity.
I also have the impression that Daz is trying to counter both major competitors by taking over or copying some of their product range and adding it to its own shop. This can only go wrong because it dilutes their own profile.
Why doesn't Daz stick to its hitherto successful policy of offering a high-class, varied and reasonably ‘family-friendly’ range? If I'm looking for adult 3D articles, I go to an ‘erotic’ specialist. There I will certainly find an offer that Daz cannot compete with. The same applies to the slightly vulgar range offered by the other competitor (in addition to many quite sophisticated models).
An example from politics: The German federal election in 2025 has just shown us how stupid it is to try to copy your competitor in order to steal voters (≈ customers) from them. The conservative CDU tried this, by copying the radical right-wing AfD. Although the CDU has - once again - become the strongest party, it has not won a single voter away from the AfD and even achieved a worse result than in the last election in 2021. The AfD doubled its 2021 result. Well...
So you could say that copying your competitor means strengthening them. At least if you do it to the extent that Daz is currently doing. You bet?
...same here. Seems there has been an increase in the amount of "sexy" and skimpy clothing lately. .
