    It would be really, really nice if they'd focus on stuff that's a bit more broadly useful. I mean, I can handle not everything being my cuppa tea. I don't expect everything to revolve around my tastes. But it would be nice if maybe once a month I looked at something and went "oh hey, I could use that!" ...y'know, seeing as it's supposedly one of the benefits of the paid membership and all.

    On the plus side, I'll no longer be Premier/+ from March 1; so if I pine for freebies, I can make my own hallway in Blender and not feel like I'm missing out angel

    Where do you all see this monthly freebie? I'm stll a DAZ+ member, is that freebie now a premium only thing? 'My' March Madness page doesn't show any freebie...

    The promos all look as if they are done in filatoon but it lists Iray materials. If its designed for Iray then do the promos in Iray - this is just odd, if the shader is Iray then you are going to have to apply the filatoon shader and adjust the settings to get anything that looks like the promos. Because the promos don't have an iray render I actually have no idea of what I'm actually getting.

    No Iray Presets according to its readme, it's likely a mistake in the description (you can report it through the other discussion):

    Agreed. Even simple tables, chairs, benches, or something similar would be of more use at this stage.

    Yes - I haven't bothered with any of the recent massive concrete structures or hallways - not even the free ones.

    Hallway Tip: they work when you want a super-simple setting for PC & NPC portraits for RPGs. Well at least when the game genre is SF or cyberpunk. I haven't yet found any for fantasy. So if anyone can suggest any shader sets to change them from OD'd On Neon to Classic Dungeon or Elven Palace Corridor, I'd be grateful.

    In other artistic news, I am finally carrying out my threat to use the Swimming Pool Era freebies to float sea monster pool toys and Summon Sea Monster scenes. Now if I can just find the pose controls for my ancient Daz Sea Dragon...

    after posting that I realised something,

    corridors, portals, doors, bus stops

    are all liminal spaces, and the foliage grows inbetween 

    its all good until they start modelling and selling the gravestones, cemeteries, crypts and coffins

    then ...

    I'm having a real difficult time with the new releases. Nothing I need, and , strange for me, nothing I want. DAZ+ items have been lacking as well for awhile. I've been on the cusp of getting on board with Premier again, but nothing is giving me incentive to do so. Even the free Premium bundles just don;t strike me as anything I need or want. Today would be a good day to pull the trigger though to take advantage of double tokens and then to also get that golden horseshow or rabbit foots, or whatever it is.

    Yeah. I liked the public restroom they did a while back... I haven't used it and don't have a current idea for it, but I conceivably *could* use it at some point.

    How about things that are more universal? Food, dishes, cutlery, coins and paper currency, books (especially ones that are neatly in a line), basic jewelry, boxes? Could have a little selection of options in each pack to cover a variety of genres.

    New survey out via email... no compensation for taking it like in the past. Granted, there is none advertised, but still, I guess based on previous surveys I thought there would be something.

    Figured I'd warn folk so everybody can make their own decision on if they want to put in the itme.

    I think they have varied in the past as to whether there has been a reward, and in what form (credit or a coupon code have both been offered, as I recall).

    How often do the Premier Bundles that are available for coupon usage get changed out? Is it every week a new one is in and an old one out? I still have a few days left to decide, but the only one I'm really interested in is the Lycan 9 HD Bundle which is not listed among the choices unfortunately.

    I'm going to get the Elena bundle, unless a more interesting one comes out. With my luck a new one will replace Elena because I was waiting to see what it would be.

    Likewise, but willing to admit that a total of two surveys taken may not be representative.

    I've taken it. It seemed like a good opportunity of letting Daz know of things that I believe would make my shopping experience here better (that does not mean that I believe it's currently bad, only that it has room for improvement). smiley
