Do they want to start next weekend on a Saturday when they have less staff to deal with problems? Probably not. And If they start Monday or Tuesday, it gives people double tokens, I doubt they want that either. So I'm guessing they start this Wednesday. Seems like the perfect time to kick things off.

I don't think "less staff" is a concern for Daz. I've read plenty of reporting posts where folks doubt an issue will be addressed in time because it's a US holiday. Those doubts aren't just pessimism talking. People have missed out on deals because a problem with a one day or short flash sale wasn't addressed in a timely manner.
Daz tried its hand at being a purveyor of NFT products with a very heavy marketing push and a Game of Thrones license tie-in. It didn't go over very well with forum folk and apparently not that well with regular customers, either. The marketing push was slowly withdrawn, the NFT-related forum topics were eventually shunted into their own forum (now removed) and the whole thing finally ended. IIRC, some of the Game of Thrones assets created for the NFT effort have found their way into the store.
It might also be fair to say NFTs were a fad and they ran their course, and I have very blandly understated what went on here in the forums during the NFT push.

no rhyme or reason for the start dates given...really arbitrary. If we have an MM it should be fairly soon , give or take a few days. Never after 1 March though.
At this point I embrace the randomness of the kinds of sales, the limitations, what's offered, the start dates and the flash sales that conveniently pop up after I spent money earlier that day I could have used.

Huh... I moved a gift card from my cart to my WL yesterday, but today (as an experiment, since it's not showing a value) it won't let me move it to my cart. Did I do something wrong, or did something change?
The 'Dream Big' selection is changed every 12h.
My experience so far has been that gift cards in my wishlist do not have the move to the cart button that regular wislisted items do. You can use the name link to jump to the gift card page in the shop, though.
Mine has the cart button... it just doesn't work. But if that's standard and you just do a new one from the GC page, that's good enough for me. I just wasn't sure when I tried this morning if it was user error or store coding. Thanks!
Gift card has attached form. I don't think it can go in the cart unless the form is filled in. Otherwise, no sale info.
i had a GC in WL. Clicked on the icon and it went to the form to fill. Did so. It did not discount.
Makes sense... I guess without stopping to think of the logistics, I just assumed it saved the stuff I filled in.
It wasn't supposed to discount. It got fixed because it was discounting 50% off

Yeah I was wondering the same thing. I don't see anywhere that I have the gold star, even though I also spent yesterday. It'd be nice if Daz made that clear somewhere. But it at least looks like the discount is applying.
So basically if you did not spent anything yesterday, you get nothing out of this banner. On top of that you will miss the GC sale (says its todays special only) ... this March Madness is truly Mad.

Also, a free bundle pays the $18.99 Premier membership fee, since the lowest cost bundle in the selection (Rebel 9) is about $58 with the Premier 35% discount ($90 before discount). If you buy the membership between now & Feb. 28, it won't end until late March so you'll get a second set of coupons on the first.
it doesn't really, when one doesn't want to use G9 and it only contains stuff that isn't compatible with G8. But the two $ 10.- coupons pay for the membership...
Yeah-it has something for everyone. All the coupons, regardless of what you buy, then the extra discounts all the time, then add the double tokens (and earning one at $5). Many of us use G9 so those extra free bundles are great, highlighted even more by the fact that it can be used on brand new bundles, albeit for a limited time. Still, it's fantastic.
By the way, I can confirm that Daz does accept prepaid cards for buying Premier membership. I see previous discussions debated whether it would work on Premier (since prepaid cards generally can't handled auto-renew). But it just worked for me using one of those standard prepaid visa gift cards that you can get at any dollar store or drugstore.
