Seems like the minimum is now $3 with the Valentine's Wish promo, but no mention of it anywhere.
I checked and the lowest I could get was $2 with 8 tokens, on Daz Originals and non Daz Originals.
Some are fixed ar 3$, some are fixed at 2$, and some appear to escape and go to below 1$... Yeah hidden rules and all over the place. Gonna be a lonely Valentines again for me.
Not bothering. Not interested in the triggers, especially at their prices. Even if I was, looking for yellow wishlist hearts in a selection of 7,000+ items is too much trouble. (I don't have paid Daz Deals.)
Someone is working on the system right now: the limit seems to now be a discount limit. Items that had a 95% discount a couple of minutes ago won't go under 90% (except with coupons).
Edit: oh, it's a double limit, so an item can get under $2 or a 90% discount and the higher limit is enforced.
My bad, I forgot I removed the tokens from my cart.
Heh... not fond of the holiday, and so far Daz is definitely not giving me a reason to change my mind.
Ah well, more money to spend on the REAL holiday... Discount Chocolate Day on Feb 15th :D
You do not need to do that, just go to your wish list and add any non-new item that does not have any other discount other than the DAZ+/Premier DO discount. Every item I have tried so far gets the 70%/85% off.
I have yet to get a $1 item, but I think the $3 floor price is for the recent selection (the 70% one) and the $2 for the legacy selection (the 85% one).
It only comes down with tokens, else it shows 3$, its not the case for all items though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Do I understand that you're getting this discount simply by adding items from your wishlist that meet that criteria? I have several items that do, and no discount is applied when I add them to the cart.
That seems to be the structure. The strategy of going after non-new, regular priced items seems to work for me, too.
By the way, this promotion will work on multiple orders. Made a purchase (ugh spent too much today but wore down that Wishlist a little) but you can do it again.
You have to add one of today's new releases, which naturally makes the deal a lot less appealing unless it is something you both want, and need now.
yeah, these discount floors are gonna really discourage me from shopping here. Given that tokens and coupons don't affect the floor price, I'd say they're determined to make both tokens and Premier a fricken joke. I get that PAs may not like having their stuff too deeply discounted, but these discount floors are not the solution especially now that DAZ isn't even bothering with fine print, just hiding the new discount floor entirely until you get hit in your cart. Now I'm wondering how long we have till everything is at a hard discount floor and no amount of stacking, coupons, or tokens will get items below whatever number they decide to inflict?
Yes, I see that now, and I agree. I'll sit this one out.
Yeah there aren't that many great options today. Every so often they'll have a really cheap product like a shader around $3 to activate the sale, but looks like they figured out that wasn't the best idea (at least for them-for us, it works really well).
Wee.
I only kept mine down to $12.47 last March. Obviously I'm one of the seriously big spenders in comparison. What a shame.
Regards,
Richard
Tokens don't break the floor price, but coupon (at least the one on Daz Originals, I already used the other one) does break it, all the way to making an item free.
Another element breaking the floor: Lightning Deals. It's the second time today that I have a LD from my wishlist and in one of them ended at $0.8 (the other was still half a dollar over $2).
Don't feel bad... I have spent more during other months last year
Other sales offered stuff I was interested in at reasonable prices, so I bought stuff... but during March Mehness 2024 iirc buying G9 stuff was a pre-requisite to gain enough price reduction and most items in the sales weren't of much interest for me with the prices I could reach either.
Wishlist stuff isn't being discounted. Empty cart. Add a wishing for love item from the shop page. Click wishlist. Add something at random. Full price.
Is there a code or something?
Are they in one of the linked categories and in your wishlist?
There is no good way for most people to check that.
Daz-Deals is a very good way---unless one spends very little here.
+1
Daz-Deals Pro is very worth the money to me.
Thanks for adding the "Pro;" I forget that there's a free version.
With the token capping that seems to be happening, the strategy of buying a month of Premier during a big sale is no longer so clear to me. Especially for people like myself who are staying on Gen 8 and don't care about the free Gen 9 Bundles or exclusives. It might be better to just renew every other mid-month for $9.99 and get Daz Plus, and then I still get all the monthly freebies plus all 24 coupons (due to the overlap of each renewal period), for only $60 a year. So a reasonable yearly membership is still doable this way. And then I don't have to worry about "cart jenga" to make tokens work, I don't need to pick free bundles I will never use anyway, I don't need to use Daz connect to access temporary free content, etc. etc. Daz Plus is now the way I think.
Shhhh! Not so loud.
Extremely underwhelming sale for today. I didn't expect something crazy, but usually during a holiday style sale at least one thing catches my eye as either a really great product, or something decent at a very great price (instant buy if it's both). Today, neither.
I hope this doesn't set the tone for the rest of Valentine's Day for me.
I feel the same way. In addition to the high buy-in to trigger the savings, there are now minimum prices in each of the categories. For me, since the oldest figures I buy are G8s, the minimum price is $4.00. I don't feel any incentive to participate in this sale. Even DAZ+ is uninspiring. It's off to other stores for me today, though I'll continue to check my LDs in case something crops up.
Yup... high buy in of stuff I don't want so I can get something-of-a-dicount on old charcters, which I really have no use for. Daz money's going for discount chocolate tomorrow!
